No, I personally don't. I know he's a fictional character, but he is one of those fictional characters that you cannot stand, and I give props to the actor who plays Nate Jacobs for acting as this toxic person. (I mean that he has played this character well).
Nate is one of my least favorite, and my only least favorite character in Euphoria. He has a girlfriend named, Maddie Perez, who he has an on-and-off relationship with. At times, the two will come to a disagreement, argue, and take a break from each other. During that break, Maddie will sleep with a guy, while (as far as I can tell) Nate doesn't do any of that. I do find that type of relationship good at first, but when the breaks become more and more frequent, that's a sign that the relationship isn't a good one, and it's not. I'm no relationship expert but, taking so many breaks in a relationship isn't a healthy relationship. I know the two loves each other, but Maddie deserves better.
Back to why I hate Nate Jacobs...
One of the things, the one that made me not like him later on in the show, he told Maddie to dress like a human being before seeing his parents at this chilli contest at the local Fair or Carnival. He also mentioned that Maddie knows that his parents doesn't like her, considering his dad's the mayor and all. When Maddie did show up when Nate's parents won the chilli contest, he gets furious and drags her away to talk to her, gets mad at her for standing up for herself, and then he chokes her, leaving a bruise on her neck.
The second reason, which happens some time before the reason above, he was catfishing this girl, Jules Vaughn, while he wasn't on a break from his relationship. He catfished her, and it escalated. Jules fell in love with the person who she was chatting with, Nate knew who she was. Jules sent nudes while Nate searched for penis selfies online and sent them to her. Then, he asked to meet up with her. They meet up. They were having a conversation, Nate kissed Jules, Jules didn't like it. While I was watching that scene, I thought for a moment that Nate would kill her. I forgot entirely of what their conversation was, but I doubt it was good.
Going back to the first reason, when Maddie passed out in class, the paramedics was called by the teacher and they saw makeup on Maddie's neck, removed it and there were bruises. Maddie looked scared and the principal asked if Nate did this. She denied it. Nate almost got arrested, so for few days, they couldn't be seen with each other unless Nate clears his name. Nate comes up with an idea that he needs to go to prison for. Back to the second reason, Nate prints those nudes of Jules from his phone. He put them all in that orange envelope thing, went to Jules and blackmailed Jules. He told her that he will report her to the police for sending child pornography if she doesn't do what he says. Jules went to the police to clear Nate's name by telling the lie Nate told her to tell, by she saw a guy who was not Nate Jacobs, choking Maddie. The detective told Jules that if she is lying, she will be arrested. Nate knew who to frame. Nate went to this guy's house, the 20-something-year-old male who had sex with Maddie in a pool at a party, while her and Nate was on one of their breaks. After the party, Nate beat the shit out of him, which he had to go to the ER to get a neck brace because Nate broke the guy's neck during the process. He manipulated the guy to turn himself in for shit he didn't do, choking Maddie. Now, Nate's name is cleared, and Nate and Maddie can be seen with each other in public again.
Another reason, he cheated on Maddie with one of Maddie's friends, Cassie in the beginning of season 3. I have only watched one or two episodes of season 3, so I do not know what happens afterwards, besides Nate getting his ass beat by Rue's drug dealer/brother, Fezco (they are not related. They are just close). Both Rue and Jules didn't even try to stop it and just stared. That was satisfying to watch. (Don't spoil the rest if you have seen it).
Nate isn't a good boyfriend, nor is he a good person. I have read that Maddie fought Cassie in season 3, but I did not hear a thing about Maddie breaking up with Nate for good, which is a shame.
