I’m 56 and lost my virginity when I was 17. I’ve had sex with five women in my life (I married number five 34 years ago). I’ve maybe used a condom 100 times in my life. I was always in a relationship and my girlfriends were always on birth control. Condoms we’re a last resort. I had to use them when she was changing from one birth control method to another, or when I was poked with a needle once at work and had to get tested for hepatitis. The hepatitis scare was after 30 years of marriage and over 20 years after my vasectomy.

I don’t use condoms. I have, and that’s why i don’t. Therefore, i don’t have sex with women i don’t trust enough to not spread disease and help raise my child.

Without is better but only in a committed relationship where there is no risk of catching diseases, and where both people are okay with the woman potentially getting pregnant (because birth control isn’t always 100% effective either).

Yep, I'd never want to catch anything nor spread anything, unawares even. Plus also reducing pregnancy odds. But I'd always hope that whoever my partner was, if I had one, or even as a date or whatever, I'd assume they'd be on the pill as well, so that way it's like two contraceptive methods are better than one and better than none.
