If you guys were texting and your female friend told you she was going to take a shower, would you think anything of that? Is that weird? Does it make you envision them in a sexual way? Thanks!

That depends on the context/occasion. If it's a completely platonic female friends I wouldn't think anything about it, she's simply just letting me know that she has to leave our conversation for a shower then whatever she's preparing for.
If there is a more flirtatious relationship though, then there might be a bite more to letting me know.

If I’m hanging out with her or about to meet up with her and she’s telling me, I’m assuming because she won’t have her phone on her so she’s giving me a heads up.

If it was through text then I would assume why that information so yeah I would assume flirty

Of course males will think sexual thoughts. You telling a guy you are going to take a shower is code in his mind that you are going to be wet and naked. You are going to being lathering your body up with soap and running your hand all over your body. All guys would think that unless they have already seen you naked multiple time aka you both are in a relationship, you are family or you are extremely over weight or they are gay.

It's not weird you got to take a shower. I do envision them sexually unless she is just a friend but if it is a girlfriend then yeah. Sometimes some girls say they masturbated to me while they took a shower.
