Do you think "chat lines" constitutes women as "prostitutes, or are they just providing an outlet, dirty or otherwise?

I myself think it is completely acceptable for women to work in this manner, and in no way, shape or form, does it constitute "prostituting" yourself out, because men call up and may want to talk a certain way.
But someone said to me today, that if you are being paid to talk this way to men, then you are indeed prostituting yourself out.
What are your thoughts? 🤔
I think men call up because they are lonely, horny, and don't want to go and visit said prostitutes/get turned on by the thought of the stranger on the phone.
Why is talking to someone over the phone, classed as this in their mind, do you think?

Have you ever called a chat line? Why did you call?
What did you talk about? 🤔

Do you think that people can be too quick to judge? 🤔

Just because it's a different male and you're being compensated for your time does not make you a prostitute. No I've never called to chat line. I've had plenty of conversations from people here.
