Do you think I'm weird because I'm straight?

Ever wonder why straight people don't need to broadcast that they are straight? People that aren't straight always have to notify everyone about their sexuality. For instance, if a guy is on a cooking show and he is not straight, he has to make his point by saying something about his "husband." Oh... my husband will just love this food, and so will our children. Oooup... there it is. Keyword to let you know he's gay is to mention it they have a husband. They all do it on tv. It's getting old. Like they were the first person that invented that technique. Sometimes it's just too much information that we don't need to know. Ya know?

  • If you are then so am I... ;)

  • I do not get why it bothers you so much? Your points make no sense, married people always say those things..

  • I’m straight as an arrow and not one bit ashamed.

  • In my experience the only time women mention their husband is if they think you're hitting on them.

  • Nope

    • Thanks for like!

  • It's so you give them respect because of their decision. In other words, they need to be on a pedestal and above everyone else.

    • Well, I am straight, so you know my decision. Sounds like you are sick of them always asking us to support them. And if we don't they say WE are homophobic. I hate them calling us names they've made up for us. It makes me sick that they do what they do with each other. So not normal. And they want us to support the way they do sex. Sorry but God made us the way we are for a reason.

    • I am sick of it. The lgbtqrstufghart community thinks they need a month devoted to them, and get all these endorsements and air time to make sure everyone knows they are out there. We get it already! God bless! I'd like to ask you, do you know what month is for veterans and military without looking it up? I can assume less then 1% of Americans know, yet we/them go overseas to fight for our rights to be American. Yet these turds sit at home waving a rainbow flag over my American flag. Get over yourselves and understand that we understand but don't need to hear it every 5 seconds!

    • I am glad you got to say YOUR say about-faces this. WOW, I didn't realize how they are effecting our military and causing military to witness their flag over our American flag. That right would cause hostility against our military. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I am glad you had a chance here to vent your feelings

    • Show All
  • Nope

  • Cause their insecure. In my experience people make the biggest noise tend to be closet.

  • No, you are perfectly alright

  • We are living in the end of time

  • Nah, the only difference is that you're noticing it. By this standard, straight folks advertise their straightness just as much, and don't even recognize they're doing it. Women on cooking shows bring up their husbands all the time, and it doesn't stick out as anything out of the ordinary. I think you're just noticing when a guy says he has a husband because it's less common. He'd probably have been treating having a husband as a pretty ordinary thing.

  • Yes, because most women are bisexual today.

    • I would like to know where you obtained these statistics from? You have probably been looking at too much girl-on-girl porn and drew your own conclusions.

    • He does have a point. Do women not kiss each other hello? Hug each other? I even was told sone compare boobs. So yes, sone ni in there. Lol

  • No that’s really common. But I do agree with you that in some cases it’s unnecessary and awkward for non-Heteros to mention their sexuality.
