Hell no, I dont wear one and dont care. I feel comfortable with my small chest and nothing is stabbing my ribs but I avoid white shirts or see through

Depends on the circumstances. For a walk in the park, it's fine not to wear one. As a student, fine. At a job, it depends on the dress code of the place you work. If you are representing just yourself, it should be fine.
