St. Clair teacher placed on leave over virtual sex work

A teacher at St. Clair High School, placed on administrative leave for selling sexually explicit content on the website OnlyFans, said she has seen a “surprising” amount of community support and made $6,000 in revenue in 24 hours after news outlets began reporting the story.
Brianna Coppage, 28, of Sullivan, told The Missourian Friday that her story has gained increasing attention in the past week, leading to higher traffic on her page on the website. Previously, she was making an estimated $8,000 per month on the platform.
Coppage has taught in the communication arts department at St. Clair High School since August 2022. She now believes she will be fired because of the attention that she received after a local resident anonymously exposed her online.
Kyle Kruse, superintendent of St. Clair R-XIII schools, said in a statement that the district is aware that a teacher “may have posted inappropriate media on one or more internet sites.”
“The District has engaged legal counsel to conduct a comprehensive investigation of this matter,” Kruse said. “Actions taken as a result of the investigation will be in accordance with Board policy and with guidance from legal counsel.”
Coppage said she started her OnlyFans account this past summer when she was not working as a teacher and “didn’t expect much of it at all.”
“I just knew some people that were doing it, and it was something that my husband and I agreed to do together,” she said.
But she said the material she posted began performing extremely well on the site. OnlyFans and other similar platforms allow creators like Coppage to post content, pornographic or otherwise, to subscribers and charge those subscribers a fee.
Coppage said she now takes home thousands of dollars each month to supplement her teacher’s income, a little over $42,000 last year.
“I believe that teachers are wildly underpaid everywhere, and Missouri has some of the lowest pay in the United States,” she said. “I absolutely do have to supplement my income.”
Coppage maintains that she kept her two jobs completely separate — she used fake names online and only showed her face to paying subscribers. She said she doesn’t know how her true identity was revealed; if, as she suspects, one of her subscribers copied or recorded her media from OnlyFans, it would be in violation of the site’s acceptable use policy. The policy prohibits distribution of creators’ material without their consent.
Once word got around Sullivan and St. Clair about Coppage’s page, she said the reaction from the area was immediate.
“It was sent around my hometown, and my community. My family was receiving calls,” she said.
She said that students and former students found her pages, posting her real name and where she lived on social media. She said she was then approached by administrators, who inquired how long she has had the OnlyFans page, how recently she had posted on the page and whether she ever created pornographic content in the school, which she vehemently denies.
The school district said it is investigating the matter, but Coppage believes the damage has already been done.
“If the school wasn’t going to fire me, they probably are now. Because prior to this, students had no idea,” Coppage said.
One thing that Coppage did not expect was the support that she received from members of the St. Clair community on Facebook, after an anonymous user posted a message about her and shared the link to her page in a group called “St Clair Talk (Unrestricted).”
“Surprisingly, a lot of parents were supporting me,” Coppage said. “A lot of community members were saying, ‘Leave her alone, this is her private business. It has nothing to do with her in the classroom.’ ”
Libby Wisdom, a St. Clair resident, commented on Facebook, “School doesn’t pay enough. Who cares what they’re doing in their free time. If they do their job when they are there then is [sic] doesn’t matter. Also who was on the only fans to find this out?”
Other comments included, “It’s sad that teachers make so little that they all need side hustles,” and “who doesn’t have onlyfans nowadays.” Coppage said that a student reached out to her Wednesday night to talk with her.
She said that “everyone has always been great” to her from the district’s central office, and she added that she has received positive performance reviews of her teaching since arriving at St. Clair. One parent who took to Facebook to comment on the story, a former president of the St. Clair PTA, said that her son is taught by Coppage and that Coppage has been an “outstanding teacher.”
Coppage said she has reached out to legal representation for advice but does not know whether she will take legal action in case she is fired.
Coppage said she does not regret making the OnlyFans page, but that considering losing her teaching career is extremely difficult for her. Kruse said that the board does have a particular policy for staff conduct but declined to speak on whether Coppage in particular broke it, citing the district’s investigation.
“I don’t feel shame, because I think that’s the first thing that people are trying to do, and that’s kind of the first thing that people jump to in these kinds of situations,” Coppage said. “I’m sad. I do miss my students. I had some really good connections.”
Its like a strip club at home.
I don't know.. I think if OF's girls got the same slack that porn stars or hookers got I think it would help deter lazy women from doing it.. or if stupid guys actually made an effort to get pretty women they liked in the real world we might not have these issues..
But from what I see in the world, sluts tend to win.. so what can you do besides watch the world burn? :P
Good answer
I think the whole point of working is to have dignity in your life because there are many ways to become rich that are immoral so anybody who makes a meagre salary is doing it for conscience sake. I know one legal way to get rich that is very immoral and does not involve sex. I won't do it and I won't share my idea with others so that they consider doing it.

Like I said before, I have seen single mom, working both the field, 2 kids, and 2 jobs not doing Onlyfans. And she is 30 and really beautiful that I would marry her too. Making ends meet can be done in lots more days if you put some effort into it
Never went on it. Feels a bit though like ‘Max Havelaar coffee’ where the little producers get more money and less money is lost by greedy middle men. I don’t pay money for porn. There’s more then enough good free stuff :)
I don't think any social media site is good!
I absolutely love it, because it gives wimps like me an opportunity to interact with beautiful women who wouldn't give us the time of day if we weren't spending money on them.
It's sad and ironic how this platform normalized porn and prostitution to normal women. And fascinating to see how many women where willing participants.
Before OF when average women led average decent lives and got jobs and found loving partners we all assumed that it was thanks to a decent upbringing and a strong set of moral
It turns out that the only thing stopping them was ease of access and opportunity.
The minute an app came out where they could make money selling out their virtue and values many women sold them in a heartbeat proving that they where in fact repressed prostitutes who where never taught that money is not worth losing your self respect.
And since it's all legal men as well have no issue being horny johns throwing money left right and center.
It used to be that only "bad men" went to a strip club or a cat house.
But since you can now do that crom the comfort of your parents basement using a fake name so many men are stooping to that animalistic behavior.
So is onlyfans no good? Maybe
But are people no good? Absolutely
I heard some women do well on it, but lot don't. Personally I have never looked at it. I don't know why someone would pay to see what that can get for free one hundreds of other websites.
Or find a real woman in person.
Of course that is the best option
Other free or inexpensive sites are good, but find someone special and have real sex many times.
It should be banned, as it is destroying society even faster than feminism. No society has ever functioned with most of its women as sex workers.
To me it’s a waste of money.
Well I'm for the free market, I'm just sad that this business model is a popular as it is. I'd much prefer to see them go out of business because the can't find women that will sell pictures of there cat for 3.99 and no guy with self respect would be on there but here we are.
OF supporters think it is liberating but really it exploits women. Making them into a merchandise.
True power of a woman is not in showing her body or doing weird stuff.
It is in working. I would rather kiss the bruises on the hands of a woman working in fields and taking care of her kids all by herself then the hands of a woman feeling too she is entitled because of her body and looks and make up.
Its bad for society but good for those getting easy money.
Can we stop calling these men desperate
because clearly it’s something that can’t be helped
Except it can be helped and they are desperate (to put it in nice terms) The last thing we need is to normalize simping for OF girls, it would be catastrophic to future generations
@ZackBan do you think men of older generations wouldn’t do the same? They just didn’t have the access that we do now boys used to have to sneak and steal dads playboys Now 6 year old boys have access to hardcore pornography My point being that “boys will be boys” no matter the generation Our carnal desires are not the problem
But that's the thing. Our desire is not something to be ashamed of. Our behavior is. There's a difference between stealing playboy magazines and simping online to an OF sk*nk giving her absurd ammount of money in hopes of an acknowledgment and validation I'm all for pornographic content in the form of pictures videos or even a live stream but it takes a certain level of loneliness of desperation to become a simp who throws money at these women, and that shouldn't be normalized.
Philosophically I have no issue with people freely paying for a service like this, although I find it ridiculous.
You can think and judge it however you want but its very likely not gonna go anywhere.
Do you know of any high value women who are on Onlyfans? Any women who have nuclear families and stable lives?
Me neither.
I don't see the problem. We've got prostitutes, doesn't mean I'm forced to go there. People need to take more responsibility for their own choices, rather than blaming what choices they are presented with.
It’s true, no high-level men will never go on there and it’s true is not good for girls. also disvalue girls too and now AI is taking over the area too.
Did you eat a survey most girls that use those fan pages once they find out they get rejected by the market and high value men don’t wanna date them they start thinking about suic1de..
And now teenagers are passing someone’s mom’s videos and pictures to each other and bullying a kid like that in school they say look at your moms this part look at your moms that part..
A woman loses everything when she becomes a fan page girl, and I mean everything..
