In today's climate, it's becoming harder and harder to tell what sarcasm is. But yeah, no one wants to see ugly, UGLY women who are out of shape (or even in shape, like that lesbian soccer player) wearing lingerie, especially when that literally is not their job. Their whole brand is to make women "look and feel sexy." Why the hell would any woman buy their products now when you have (pardon the language, but I gotta use it here) "obese landwhales" wearing their lingerie. Well, as the saying goes, "Get Woke, Go Broke." Because apparently, we needed a female version of Gillette. I hope they have fun losing $2 billion.
I honestly never found Victoria's Secret girls sexy. They were too tall, athletic, masculine-looking for me. The lingerie wasn't sexy either. It was crass. Angel's wings? Jesus Christ.
Lots of models are sexy, with curves and richly colored skin, and just an aura of playfulness. Victoria's Secret shows were about as sexy as a military parade.

I value my money too much to overspend it on their poor quality merchandise. So they can do what they want.
As a non-lingerie consumer, I didn't even know their stuff was low quality. So, good point. They were just the most well known name. Now the may have screwed themselves a bit, just like Coca Cola seems to have a talent for doing. Good.

I've always found VS rather silly, but sometimes they have nice lingerie. The fact that they skillfully marketed to straight men, the people with the deep pockets who bought for their straight partners, has always made sense.
Getting advising from trans women and gay women is certainly OK. WHICH trans and gay women? Who's to know. I don't know if soccer mavens are likely to wear VS or not. I think the trans market is a genius market to exploit, though.
But I LOVE JP in that lingerie. I don't know why he didn't push the idea of MEN wearing said lingerie because, as most of us know, there are men, mostly straight ones, who like to wear VS and any other lingerie that they can acquire that will fit them.
There's even an Aussie firm that specialized in pretty lingerie for men! I think it's holding its own...
