No. There are many reasons for it.
The traditional values have been eroded away. Monogamy + heavy stigma around sex before marriage and cheating meant that people weren't as free to sleep around. This ensured that more men lower on the male hierarchy would still be able to find a woman.
Incels aren't a modern phenomenon. There's evidence that in the past 80% of women reproduced while only 40% of men did, meaning that some women shared men, especially those at the top of the heirarchy. This is how it has always worked in the state of nature. In nature males compete for females.
Successful societies enforced monogamy to ensure that more men had access to women, so that they could have children which gave them an incentive to be productive members of society. A man with a wife and kids has more to work for and a lot more to lose than a guy with no mating prospects. This discouraged such heavy competition between men and encouraged co-operation instead, which is what led those cultures to success - more men working together = more success.
This has been taken away and now we're in a time where men compete again, so you have fewer winners and more losers.
There's also the fact that feminism and modern civilisation itself emasculates and softens men. Those men are the most emasculated of all, and in general women are most attracted to masculine men despite their constant encouragement of effeminate behaviour in men.
I think an incel is a male who rather talks to women like a white knight in a public live stream and has no guts talking to any in real life. also incels like to send women money for doing nothing in return.
incel behaviour is also putting yourself so low as if you await pity from someone, this also can happen with girls.
it has nothing to do with the new age, the issue is through internet incels get attention because internet is their "safe space".
I think it could be part of the problem, but I think that it has more to do with low self esteem probably caused by bullying, and problems dealing with rejection.
these people all too often need to realize that they are not "born to lose" (cue punk song) and actually can take constructive steps to self-improve. And I get why they feel that way--year after of year of formative years peer abuse and parent neglect can take its toll. But the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first steps and all that.

Sometimes it is like that, but more often than not it is sad young men who were just never taught how the real world works. Often they grew up fatherless.

In hetero relationships it's probably caused by the complete disparity of communication between sides. Men message a lot to try to make up for the fact they get absolutely nothing.
