  • there's pros and cons to make circumcision. Pros being that it's less likely for the child to get an infection due to improper cleaning of the foreskin, and Its said to be more visually appealing when the man starts being sexual. Cons include desensitization of the head of the penis as well as a period of healing from the procedure. Ultimately I dont see the issue with either but I'd much prefer to have my male child circumcised simply because itll be easier for him to clean it properly and avoid infection as he grows.

    • It's not more visually appealing if you ask me. It definitely looks like something was cut off.

    • I think it increases your chances of infections, it doesn't decrease them. Evolution took care of that.

    • @soleil2666 The facts say otherwise. Smegma caught and not cleaned fully leads to more infections. And it has direct implication in cervical cancer with female partners. It's not a GIGANTIC thing... but those are the two biggest issues.

  • It has benefits and consequences. The STI risk decreases 50 percent... but how do you know if the child is going to be promiscuous? It helps with cleanliness. It shouldn't be done for superficial or religious reasons. Honestly, it's up to the parents (usually the mother). I

  • I had mine done due medical reasons, that was done in hospital, I do not see it as bad think as in my opinion it has a lot of advantages.

Yes, when it is done religiously it can end up infected and VERY painful procedure...

And no girl complained before about it and I'm not religious at all...

  • I am neutral on the topic. A penis with exposed glans (the head) looks better to me. However, circumcision is not the only way to achieve that effect. There are methods of keeping foreskin retracted and simulate the effect. Hence, best of both worlds.

    • The skin gets pulled back automatically as it goes erect. Courtesy of millions of years of evolution. And then you play smarter and chop it off. Should do the same to lips so the teeth are cleaner. Or to ear lobes. It's insane.

    • @soleil2666 Mine doesn't get that effect, hence my need for gentle body modification.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Bad thing it's totally unnecessary.

  • Bad for the guy and bad for its appearance 😬

  • Positive simply for the hygiene aspect of it.

  • Good

  • I had it done as an adult, and can say that for me, I preferred basically everything after. So to me, it's good, but other people can have their own views.

  • Bad, unless it's a conscious decision later in life. I'd personally consider getting circumcised if my girlfriend didn't like me being uncircumcised as much as she does.

  • looks nice

  • TBH I've never been with a guy that was uncircumcised.

  • It's male genital mutilation your cutting off a part of a child's anatomy that is there for a reason. That this has been done to millions of children without any consent is monstrous.

  • Negative. It needlessly harms the sensitivity of the penis, makes sex drier for women, and causes extreme pain for infants.

  • Bad, its not pleasurable during sex.

  • It's bad. It's surgery. If surgery is required, it means something is wrong. That is also only when it's necessary which is very rarely due to deformation.
Sadly, most circumcisions are unnecessary and done to unconsenting babies. In rare cases, the operation results in death of the infant patient.

  • It isn't that black and white ther is more to it than only size

    • Size? Did you read the question? Lol

    • I did hun

    • Then why are you talking about size? Lmao

  • Bad, why are we performing cosmetic surgery on fucking infants. Its savage barbaric archaic and needs to stop. If the man grows up and finds he’d rather have a cleaner less sti prone penis thats for him to decide.

  • I think it is the same as female genital mutilation. Should be a crime.

    • Female genital mutilation cuts off the clitoris. This prevents women from orgasming. Circumcision does not prevent men from orgasming or sexual function. The entire point of FGM is to stop women from having sexual pleasure. Circumcision is not done to prevent males from having sexual pleasure.

    • @Screenwriter Sorry, I can't fall for female forever self-victimisation, as a matter of sanity. WHO defines 4 types of FGM (https://www. who. int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/female-genital-mutilation). I consider circumcision to be the male equivalent. It alters your penile head sensitivity and thus has a related effect. Isn't there a G-spot in women that is supposedly much stronger when it comes to orgasms?

    • The g spot stimulation works in concert with the clitoris, so if the clit is removed, as type 1 and type 2 FGM does, that will greatly diminish the ability of a woman to orgasm. Most women do NOT cite g spot stimulation as their major means to orgasms. Most cite clitoral stimulation. They also cite labia minora stimulation as important and type 1 and 2 usually remove the Labia minora... Eighty five percent of FGM is type 1 and 2. If circumcision removed the glans penis, then it would be equivalent to FGM. It doesn't and it isn't.

  • Its mutilation

  • It's mutilation

  • neither

  • I don't agree with it. Mostly because the parent's decide on it when the child is just born. It is a purely cosmetic procedure, even for religious reasons it should not be allowed till the child is an adult and can give consent.

I see as no different than female genital mutilation for "cultural" reasons

  • I view it as grooming, makes the dick look better.
