Gross or uncomfortable? Basically is it some sort of fear or hygenic concern? Knowing what it is will help you if you ever want to start enjoying it.
That said enjoying it is pretty optional. I knoe a friend or two (male) who had hygenie concerns. He got over it but it was an awkward journey - for which he is happy now.
As for the afraid of penetration part, I think it is fairly common and could list a few people I know who got stuck there for a while.
As of yet not met anyone who stuck with the sentiment that it is gross.
I think the act is only gross when it’s done unnaturally. Anal, forcing a girl to swallow, and other things like that don’t appeal to me. But on the flip side, natural PIV and love making is beautiful and amazing. Not gross at all when it’s natural and done the way men and women were designed to interface with each other sexually, the anatomically correct way.
It sounds like either you've had sexual trauma in the past or you've never had pleasurable sex. Maybe it's time to work on learning about your sexual kinks and have a bit more "me time" when you can. Simply to learn how your own body works in that regard.
It's somewhat unusual, but not totally unheard of.
