Does feminism imply that male sexuality is socially constructed by the patriarchy and that our desire for female beauty is created by patriarchy?

It seems pretty plain and obvious to me that men desire above all else the beauty of women.

No amount of maturity a man develops will change the fundamental nature of his sexuality.

I saw a study that says all men of all age ranges rated women 18-21 most attractive. Whereas women rate men their own age attractive.

It seems to me that feminism rejects the idea that male sexuality is biologically driven to crave female beauty.

Instead feminism seems to be saying that male sexuality is a construction of the patriarchy.

That we are trained by the patriarchy to only desire beauty, thus stunting our sexual growth from an immature sexuality, to a more mature sexuality.

Which implies that young girls also crave male beauty in the same way. However due to the relatively more healthy upbringing of girls, results in the very nature of their sexual attraction matures to desire things like maturity, income, passions, and so on and so on.

Even though men can develop maturity for relationships, there is no way that any man's root sexuality is chanted. Our root sexuality is and always will be a deep desire for women's beauty.

This is why I disagree with the idea that male sexuality is shaped by patriarchy and stunted in sexual maturity.

It is merely our nature as men to crave female beauty.

How do they prove that everything is socially constructed?

  • Sounds like you have a rather narrow view on feminism. You didn't mention wages, rights, or class structure. You seem more concerned with sex, and in particular mate choice, which frankly I've never even heard mentioned by a person who describes themselves as a feminist. It's more a topic brought up by someone who wants to complain about what they THINK a feminist is.

To the best of my knowledge, a feminist is a person who advocates for equal rights for the sexes. Specifically for creating a level playing field and correcting the unfair injustices that have been traditionally inflicted upon women.

That topic has nothing to do with age and mate choices.

Now it's true that the word has been corrupted by many, and that some forms of media prefer to focus on what some would consider "radical feminist" as the norm, which is quite laughable. But by the definition of the word the 2 topics you are trying to conflict really don't intersect in the way you are implying they do.

    • Are educated at all in academic feminism? Because they definitely talk about these things. I could find examples if I have to but if you didn't know about this stuff you're the wrong one to ask anyways.

    • I don't need a college degree on a topic to have a casual discussion about it online. If you feel the need to manslplain feminism to a woman, you go right ahead buddy. It's not like the random articles you pull of right wing social media is going to change anything

    • You don't need a college degree but you might be surprised to find that feminism has theories about sex, sexuality, gender. Psychoanalytic theories of human cognition. Philosophy. All those things and far more are things that feminists think about. But I suppose this website does not have any feminists who ever decided to actually educate themselves about real feminist work. That's crazy to me.

  • Feminism doesn't imply this. Feminism is about equal rights and opportunities for women and men.

Sexuality is a social construct in the sense that your sexual orientation is portrayed through sexuality which is a series of social behaviours. Actors can act gay, or straight or bi or ace through behaviours. Plus the sexual behavior in which an individual engages does not necessarily reflect their sexual orientation or desire.

Sexual behaviours develop as we as humans develop, they are learned through socialisation. You learn about sex from your parents, teachers, media, friends etc. You learn the different ways, techniques that others in more conservative countries or lifestyles would never know about.

    • But what you're saying is exactly what I am saying. According to feminism, human sexuality is socially constructed. We live in a patriarchy which has shaped male sexuality. It probably shaped female sexuality too. The implications are all there. I would wish for a feminist who knows what they're talking about to comment on these implications. I think that sexuality and the way we express it is extremely important even if your average feminist is triggered by that. I don't know why. Sexuality and gender are extremely important just to know the nature of human beings. I don't know. Maybe I only think that because I am a man. And I know how powerful the drive is for a woman's beauty. y'all have no idea. If you were men, you wouldn't believe feminism was correct about social construction theory. I feel like women have a balanced and varied sexuality. But men don't. I think feminists are using female sexualify as rhe standard of correct sexuality. Meaning, sexuality based on function or utility. A man brings certain values across a braod spectrum of possible value systems. Women are wired for that. Men are not. We are wired for female beauty. Ok. So now my question is, how do I debunk myself? Like really truly? How do I even ask a real feminist? They couldn't possibly read my question without being triggered into oblivion. I read real feminism. But that shit goes deep. Like really deep lol. I can't do it by myself so sometimes I ask a question and hope someone smart pops up with a clue or a reference or an answer of some sort.

  • Some feminists imply that, but they're all stupid, because sexual preferences are not learned, they are genetically imposed by your DNA.

You are born liking what you like, and no amount of anything you experience or are told will ever change your sexual preferences.

The idea that anyone is "programmed" by this or that "influence" is completely ridiculous. No amount of thought even goes into sexual attraction, it is a biological reflex thats happens faster than (and independant of) thought.

Example: I look at certain kinds of boobs, I get a boner, zero thought involved, its completely automatic (like my brain and ears turning vibrations into sound kind of automatic).

You cannot go up to a man and tell him: "You really shouldn't get boners from that, you should get it from this instead" and expect him to not only care about your opinion (and even take you seriously), but somehow also be a magic wizard that can reprogram his DNA.

  • The feminism you have been exposed to is just part of the woke CULT (City Urban Liberal Types).

They exist, but they're so full of shit that they attack each other. They make me want to post pictures of Donald Trump just to get them to freak out.

They don't prove anything other than sounding bat shit crazy. Guess what... I just flex my abs and biceps and they throw all that bullshit out the window and line up in front of me on their knees acting like a 'pick me.' Don't take your advice or social knowledge from retards like that.

... and before you ask... yes I'm pretty damn educated on the subject. I call bullshit on most of it outside of "nice guy syndrome" and a few other concepts.
