  • I would say yes. There's a lot to say about it. However porn can be positive in that regard if you realize that it is fake. For example, I watch a lot of amateur porn and it has shown me a variety of different women's body types, different ages from 18-60s, all different ethnic backgrounds. It has shown me how sexy women can be no matter their bodies. They can be petite with small boobs and a butt to an overweight woman with big boobs and a butt. I have more of a preference for women in the middle with some flab, a paunch, and when they move around they jiggle s bit. I think that's hot. 🤤

As for other stuff I think porn makes us hate out bodies (men) because we don't look like the men and toys the women have sex with. (Remember I watch a lot of amateur content) I see women having sex with men that are porn star quality and I rarely see average guys that look like me. I see plenty of videos of women using 8 inch dildos and dildos that are bigger than what is humanly possible. (Don't even get me started on Bad Dragons) I see all this and when I hear women say "Size doesn't matter" I'm starting to not believe them because I see women taking these men and dildos and why would they want my 4 to 5 inch penis? I don't see them feeling me compared to those guys and toys. Not too mention that I browse the alternative lifestyle subreddits like Swingers, Hot Wife Lifestyle, and Cuckolding lifestyle on Reddit. They always say they want a third partner that's big. Usually 8 inches. So yeah I don't know what to believe anymore.

Lastly, as I was growing up watching porn I heard that porn gives us unrealistic expectations of reality. That being said, I knew I wasn't going to be the pizza delivery boy that gets paid in sex or the plumber that gets paid in sex, or the mechanic that gets paid in sex. Nor do I see myself hooking up with the hot neighbor MILF once her buisnesses man husband leaves for the day. Nor did I believe when I was in college a bunch of hot sorority girls would take me back to their house to see which one of them is a better at sex. I'm not stupid. I was aware that was all fiction. Sure there are some people who don't realize life isn't like that so they have warped realities. But other than that a lot of us know it's fiction.

  • speaking from a psychological standpoint, men will likely say it doesn't change anything however its actually almost impossible for it to have no effect- implicitly, porn and women in porn can swerve a mans (and womans) views on sexuality etc very easily and efficiently without them even noticing. however, many men do not expect or even like women they are dating to act like porn stars as men tend to quite directly separate their sexual preferences and their preferences in long term partners. interesting question actually but the answer is obvious- subconsciously, anything we watch will have an effect on us especially if watched regularly or more than once wether we like it or not. i think you should be asking this question about both genders rather than just one.

  • yes and no... but i do know if you really want another date with a guy you like your going to have to give him a blowjob if you seriously want a date with him again... porn has something to do with it... men they want blowjobs pretty casually... i wear short dresses for dates and it comes up blowjobs... do i blame porn for that? yes but it's just reality.

  • Yes, if they are not critical and check up on all the tricks and acting that is going on.. and yeah, many people are very non-critical unfortunately.

  • I'd say yes.
I find it strange that a majority of porn producers have no clue about passionate, romantic sex. For them, people are just collections of body parts. Male stars have to fuck because it's their job, but to them, their female counterparts are nothing but prostitutes. At least, that's how they treat them.

A few popular misconceptions are 1) Women should be into deep throating and getting skull fucked. Men enjoy copious amounts of drooling spit and the sound of a woman gagging. 2) A man can't engage in sex with a woman unless she sucks his dick for 10 minutes beforehand. 3) Anal sex is a requirement. 4) Facials are erotic.

  • Yeah definitely and not in a good way.
    .

  • No, but the inability to different between porn and reality does.

    • That's what I meant my wording sucked it seems.

  • Yes. But no.

What people say, is that porn teaches boys and men to be aggressive and violent to women.

In reality, porn takes boys and men away from that, and teaches them... basically nothing.

Mainstream porn is attempting to show off the woman. The guy busts on her tits, or her face, or her ass. Porn is like a pretty picture. It's trying to show what men desire in a carnal nature. The beauty of women displayed in sexual act.

Real sex is nothing like mainstream porn. I think real sex can easily have choking and spanking and all these things that tons of women love.

And tons of women are constantly complaining that their man is too passive in bed. Too timid. Not aggressive. Not powerful. Not. What. She. Wants.

But the feminists are like "omg! Porn is degrading to women and teaches boys to bust nuts on their face!"

I think feminists dont know shit TBH.

  • I've actually seen quite a bit of porn (yes, I know, shhhhhhhocking), and while much of it truly is weird, unrealistic, over-the-top and with really bad acting, it isn't always like that. It depends. The amateurs tend to portray it far more realistically than the so-called professional actors and actresses, who usually over-act, look at the camera too much, and moan loudly even when they're hardly doing anything.

  • These kind of people will get false idealizations from anywhere and everywhere, it is their mindset, one that is susceptible, and not precisely the activities they engage on.

There's also a difference between ideas given, and idealizations made.

  • Certain men absolutely. It is becoming a mystery to me why certain men even engage in watching porn. Its like they can't figure out, this is supposed to be entertainment not real life. And the only reason why certain forms of porn gain popularity is because the makers are trying to sell.

  • It can leave men with certain expectations but even gag can do that too. What is good for both genders to understand is that not every partner wants or desires the same thing. Some want different things than others. And it is All about sharing with that partner too

  • Amor as much as war movies give men rude watching idea of war, or rom-coms give women the wrong idea about dating.

    • I should never answer questions on my cell phone.

    • Lol it's fine

  • Most likely porn does lead to false understanding and unrealistic expectations.

  • Don't know about that but I would say RomComs ("female pornography) propagates women to have false ideas about men and relationships

  • Not for me, since you have to look at the 'players'. Unless they are amateurs', which is rarely the case, porn is being bought and paid for.

  • Yes, I think it certainly does.

  • Sure.

on the other hand before porn the average guy didn't know what a clitoris was.

porn is far from ideal at teaching people about sex. The real issue though is less porns imperfections and more the complete lack of better examples for people to learn from.

  • No. I used to be a porn addict. I knew it was a fantasy. It never changed how I liked sex. Porn is bad because it trains your mind into getting aroused by a fantasy rather than a natural woman. But I never had it change my respect or sensuality toward women.

  • Yes.

    • I agree

  • No, most adults have the ability to distinguish between fact and fantasy.

  • Yeah

But all the men i ever met don't believe in those ideas

  • I do not believe so.
I watch the pornography that involves ‘real’ people at play. There is nothing fake about that sex.
I am way more turned on by real sex that watching professional porn performers going at it.
I am much more turned on by a ‘hotwife’ living out her kink, than by a stripper who has a cocaine habit making porn so that she can do porn celebrity tours of strip bars. That is how porn professionals make most of their money.
