I mean, I don't really assign myself to moralize the amount of someone's sex partners. I judge based on why they slept with who they slept with, not how many. If they were doing so for some type of validation, or because they have self-worth issues, that would bother me more than just simply doing it because they wanted to.
However, where I guess I'm hypocritical is I don't personally want to sleep with many partners. I don't prefer it for myself because I don't enjoy the one night stand culture. Which is why I've only been with two people myself.
I would look at a partner's body count with empathy and a willingness to understand before I make my judgment. Usually, but not always, there is some underlying issue with people who sleep with an exuberant amount of partners, which is something I consider.
Basically, I'm a hypocrite.

You can easily find someone who isn't going to value that over you, it's really just a manner of loving yourself and not acting like it makes you less of a person. Because I don't feel like it is.

What you should do is ask yourself:
1) Do I care that I’ve had that many partners? Why?
2) Were all my partners worth it? If not, how can I make better decisions in the future so that I don’t waste my time with people that don’t deserve it?

Don't let that seemingly dark past or mistake hold you back. You have to believe in yourself, ditch that negative self image. You have to think positively. You said you've changed. So that means you are on right path now. So don't bother worrying about what your friend thinks. You focus on self healing and rise above that.
Bodycount seems like a crude measure. Just go to a rowdy bar and look at a girl who throws herself indiscriminately at a guy, goes home with him, and then shows up again the next week doing the same thing with another one. That is slut.
