Don’t use one anymore as I’m not dating multiple women. With a condom I usually stay hard, however I do remember the times I’d take too long putting it on or think…uuugh I don’t want to wear it, or not like the feeling of it and I’d drop to semi hard. I think it’s psychological and esp since you are not used to it
Im thick and when i wore regular condoms it would dig into my skin and really not allow me to get hard. Switched to magnums and it helped.
Now I dont wear them and its all the more better

Don't feel bad, it happens to a lot of men. One reason I never use them.
And this is what I think I need to find. I was married for 10 years and never had to worry about using a condom. Now that I’m dating again I’m scared to catch something. Or of getting her pregnant.

I haven't had that happen, but it sounds like nerves are causing it. Maybe try using sensitive condoms?
Have her use her mouth to roll the condom on... you'll stay hard, believe me.

It may be psychological and it may be physical. Try a thinner condom, that you can feel more during sex.
It happens before I even get a chance to put it in. It’s odd. When I was a teen I had no problem lol I could almost get hard on command 😂😂
It happens to many because achieving erection, they go trough the process of opening the condom package. During the process, concentration is lost.
Possible solution: unpack the condom, leave it very near you; then just put it on as you achieve erection.

It’s psychological, because you know it’s not going to feel as good as without and you are about to perform so it’s anxiety
Putting on a condom takes away from the passion and natural instinct of sex. It makes it seem more like a bad thing or dangerous thing and your brain switches from the fun to the potential dangers and it makes you lose interest sexually.
Maybe you just don't get anything out of using a condom. It's not as pleasurable to you at least subconsciously so your dick reacts that way
