Feeling depressed after seeing a girl I love, but I can’t be with her, so what can I do?

The shitty part is that she has feelings for me too. But she rejected me for another guy because they knew each other since kids. I haven’t seen her in years, till recently, and now I’m getting so depressed again (just like when I stopped talking to her last time). I just get thoughts of just wishing I wasn’t alive at times. I don’t even try to sleep with women anymore, or even watch porn. And I have a super high libido. I also been crying every day. And I’ve been losing weight.

  • If you're certain that you can't be together then move far away from her.

  • I'm sorry you're going through this painful situation. Unrequited love can be deeply hurtful and depressing. Here are some things I recommend:

    • Avoid contact with her for now. Seeing her will only remind you of what you don't have and make the pain worse. Take a break from social media and any communication for your own mental health.

    • Process your feelings. Write in a journal, talk to a close friend or therapist, express yourself through art or music. Get all those difficult emotions out in a healthy way.

    • Practice self-care. Eat well, exercise regularly, get enough sleep and do things you enjoy. Taking care of yourself can lift your mood and give you a sense of control.

    • Consider speaking to a doctor if the depressive symptoms persist. They can screen you for depression and recommend treatment options if needed. Don't suffer in silence.

    • Focus on building other areas of your life. Pour your energy into your hobbies, career, relationships with friends and family, goals you have. Distract yourself from the heartache.

    • Remind yourself this pain will lessen with time. Heartbreak never feels temporary when you're in the midst of it, but I promise the intensity will fade. You will heal from this.

    • Learn from this experience. Reflect on what it's taught you about yourself, your needs and the type of partner you're seeking going forward. Growth comes from pain.

    • When you're ready, try meeting new people. A rebound fling is not recommended, but putting yourself out there again in a healthy way can boost your spirits.

Allow yourself to grieve this lost love, but don't lose hope for your future. There are other fish in the sea - people who will choose you first. For now, focus on healing. You've got this.

  • Try masturbating thinking of her, twice or more in a row and more later
After a few times of that, we good!

    • I’m not doing that. I’ll hate myself if I do that

    • You hate masturbating or you hate masturbating to her? Trust me man, masturbating multiple times to a girl really really decreases your feeling towards her...
