I think it may be similar to how someone may make friends. Sometimes it happens spontaneously over time, other times two people may click instantaneously. But regardless of the vector that the "click" happens at - I do not believe it has any bearing on the quality or how long the friendship may last.

Sometimes she may make a guy wait for 6months date briefly but then let another guy hit on the first date and they date long term and get married and become really happy together. Or the opposite could occur and the first guy who waited ends up happy with her long term. I don't see any evidence that those to events are correlated at all between speed of first sexual experience together vs quality/length of time in a happy relationship together.
