At the Virgin myself I can safely tell you the answer is depending.
Virginity is considered somebody who has not had penile vaginal intercourse, oral sex, or anal sex. That also constitutes you using a sex toy. Sexual purity extends to being pure in heart, your mind and spirit. Which means you're not polluting yourself with pornography or masturbation. Let alone dabbling into sexually explicit materials. Audio, literature, media, art, etc.
Now regarding the hymen, every virgin at least is naturally intact. You have a small opening, at least normally you should, when you go through puberty to allow menstruation to leave the body. If however you had issues with your hymen due to injury, straining activity, or you have a condition where you are easily able to tear it, then that have 0 to do with virginity. But that you had suffering tearing and injury to the human. It will repair itself because it's a muscle. However, depending on the severity of the damage it may not be the same again.
The hymen is naturally supposed to stretch, but when the penis enters the vagina, it does touch the hymen and it stretches it. Eventually causing tearing. The severity of the tearing depends on the length of the penis and how the person did it. That also includes things that happen during sex. Whether your lubricated though arousal or not. Either way. You want to save your virginity for marriage. And you want to experience those first times with your husband. You don't want to ruin those experiences with plenty of people and then you end up with a problem.
But the Hymen, despite with so many want to say is in fact an indicator of virginity. However it really all depends how a person ended up having sex for the first time. It is extremely important. That's why we have it. However the state of its importance, physically, solely depends on what was done with the Hymen. But just know that virginity basically it's a combination of the physical, the spiritual, the mental, psychological, emotional, and everything else. Virginity is part of who you are as a person. How you treat yourself and how you respect your body as also how you end up treating your sexuality as a woman, as well as what will be in your sexual nature when you start to experience sex for the first time. And again you're learning this from somebody who is a virgin. Just be careful with it.0 0 0 0Actually, a broken hymen can indicate if you had sex before. How one can tell is by looking at the vagina and how the hymen is tear. If it look like something has been falsely tear open that's how you know that person had lost their virginity. But it's tears tears little that or so, that may not actually be strictly due to a penis going through per se. There are often indications. But you would have to have a keen eye.
You can tell by the direction of how the hymen got tared.

No the hymen doesn't ensure that you are or are not a virgin. It can tear from non-sexual things; and it can heal after sex. So you can be a virgin with a broken hymen and a non-virgin with an intact hymen. Granted the norm is virgins with an intact hymen and non-virgins without an intact hymen.
1 1 1 0Also intercourse isn't the only way to lose your virginity; oral and anal sex count towards losing it too. After all you're just as likely to get an STD from those forms of sex as through vaginal intercourse.

I saw a class about that once. Two women explained that, aside from the specific kinds of hymen that do get "broken" because of the tissue blocking the entrance, the ring that makes the hymen does not actually break. It can bleed due to be unused to the stretching, but it doesn't actually break.
I remember a her funny moment of that class where they explained that, during their investigation, they even asked doctors if they could examine several women's hymen and tell if they were virgin or not just by examining the state of the hymen. They couldn't. All women were pregnant in different stages.0 0 0 099.9% of men don't check out a girl's hymen before they have sex.
But if she tells me I would believe her and be as gentle as possible. I would try to make her first time memorable for her.
As a guy when a girl gave me their virginity, it was a great emotional feeling for me. So I tried to make her feel extra special.0 0 0 0

3 4Why the big deal about it. It doesn’t matter at all. Virgin or not you have chosen to enjoy with him, so he should be honoured.
0 0 0 0Yes a hymen is a proof of virginity and purity, so a virgin should keep her hymen intact.
0 0 0 0The presence or absence of a hymen does not prove or disprove whether someone has engaged in sexual activity.
0 0 0 0It's possible to have sex and not have your hymen tear. It's about as reliable as having a torn hymen meaning you aren't a virgin... it's an indicator but not very reliable.
0 0 0 0You’re 36-45 asking this? Forget it seriously
0 0 0 0No it is not. Girls break their hymen all the time doing normal everyday things like riding a bike, using a tampon, masturbating, sports, etc
0 0 0 0Hi andy. Thank you for ypur opinion. I know what you said. But my question is what if your hymen hasn't been broken in any way whatsoever. Could that be a sure sign of female virginity.
Oh sorry I don’t think I fully understood. Not necessarily, some hymens can be pretty thick snd can stay intact post vaginal intercourse. Some (admittedly not many) can be thick enough that they are problematic for the individual and require Surgery to address the issues that arise
Yes it is
