I’m new to being a dominant female as well as the guy I am with is new to this as well.

This is a tough one. If you really want to be in control of his chastity device, then yes. Take the keys. Then you would have to be there to unlock it while he bathes. If you want to make sure he doesn't do anything besides clean himself, you could shower with him. Actually that's a good idea because you could order him to wash you. You could do that either before he comes out of the cage, while he is out or after you lock him back up. It might be fun to make him wash your entire body with his hands while he is locked up and unable to take advantage of the arousal he feels from it.

I might not be qualified for this advice honestly. My experience is different. I mean I like a dominant woman but I would never allow her to put me in chastity. But these are just some ideas off the top of my head.
