First time in Vegas. anyone got any suggestions of things to do?

I recommend living in either the pyramid or the flamingo cause they are both affordable but located close to the strip so it’s less work to get to the more famous casinos. My parents vacationed with very stingy engineers and we walked over 4 hours to get to the strip cause we were at a hotel far away that was cheaper. Also do not waste your time on boring food - they’ve got a Mexican taco place where you can get delicious tacos for $2.00 each and they’ve got a Korean barbecue that is the same price as the pop eyes chicken. Not sure if that changed wth CoVid but that was the case when I visited there before. Bring a gigantic empty knapsack cause there are no public water fountains in Vegas so you will be relying on the water you buy from the convenience store. And don’t buy expensive drinks - there are plenty of cheap cocktail options once you get to the pyramids. Last of all the poor casinos give out lower reward payouts because they are more desperate for cash - if you want to lose less money, gamble at a well known casino.

I love Vegas and have been many times! The casinos on the strip are beautiful, I recommend seeing New York New York (that's the name of a hotel), Treasure Iamb be, Mandalay Bay has a cool aquarium (its like $30), Taco El Gordo has bomb tacos, if you're bruin buying a date, take the gondola with them in the Venitian. Do not gamble on the strip. If you're going top gamble, you will have the best odds at Boulder Station. Boulder Station also has the best buffet, but the buffets have been closed during Covid. At night, visit Fremont Street. Go everywhere on Fremont Street. Check out the street performances. Circa has the largest sportsbook in the world. Fremont also has delicious and affordable restaurants. Heart Attack Burger is amazing and the theme is hilarious. Fremont also has multiple night clubs if that's your scene. Its not my scene, but if it's yours, that's a place to go.

I agree with TeeBar. Those cheap/free buffets are great. Maybe catch Terry Fator at the NY/NY if he's in town.

And if that's you in the picture, you shouldn't have any problems having some fun in Vegas IF you stay sober and bring your own sealed (read that "no date rape drugs within") beverages.

Besides gambling? See a show, go to a nice restaurant, go check out Hoover Dam , it’s not too far from there, maybe there is still a tour

Whatever gambling game you're familiar with I would probably recommend doing the slots are the easiest but don't drink too much otherwise will be another statistic on drunk and woman got killed
