Are you proud of your kids?

Children all over the world seem to be losing respect for themselves and others.

Here are some shocking things that kids have done in my country:

1. Robbing people.

Some time ago two boys, aged 9 and 15, were shot to death in their mother's house. They were reported to be well-known for robbing people at gunpoint.

2. Killing people.

Some years ago a six year old boy was brutally murdered by two kids, the older one being about 12. The six year old had undergone anal torture.

3. Engaging in risky behaviours.

Remember the time Akon visited my country? On that night he had danced with a girl who had entered an adult nightclub. The girl was later revealed to be 14 years old.

4. Attacking their parents.

Earlier this year a 16 year old boy was arrested for chopping off the hand of his mother in an argument over a cellphone.

5. Attacking their teachers.

Recently a schoolteacher had to be hospitalised after being assaulted in a classroom by students who refused to give up some explosive devices called "scratch bombs" that he had found them with in the classroom and attempted to confiscate.

The conduct of these and other children is really a cause for concern these days. Let's hope that your kids are better behaved than these!
