Okay so to be honest I've been crazy busy lately I need to get a curtain rod

install for my new shower because the one I currently have is only temporary and slides down but I don't have time to be googling and youtubing how to dos right now. I know I am going to have to drill through tile.

I was hoping that maybe some of you could save me time in the researching maybe suggest a good how to vid and tell me which is the best drill bit to use on tile.
This is the drill I currently own:

Im hoping it will be strong enough for the job
So ya suggestions?
What Girls & Guys Said
0 30Use a bit intended for glass or tile - it won't look like a standard drill bit.
Go to youtube and look up an instructional video on it.
Practice on a scrap piece or two until you get it right.
You need a drill bit especially for tile and be careful as tile is fragile. Make sure to wear eye and respiratory protection.
For a curtain rod? Don't fuck with any tile, just use the adjustable feature!
The most important thing that the tile will break from overheating, overexcerting, too high drillspeeds, too low drillspeeds, saying something rude next to it or from an angry glare.
Therefore, buy a drill bit for ceramics, use the speeds described on the bit, and that tiny handdrill you have there is totally inadequate for the task.
That drill will work but you will need a masonry bit. When you drill spritz water on it to keep the bit and tile cool
You are getting excellent advice from the guys that posted before me and you should follow it. I cannot add anything.
Use a masonry bit. Use a regular drill--NOT a hammer drill. A hammer drill will crack the tile.
