GAG should provide a way to block vulgar sex questions.

I am not in favor of censorship but that doesn’t imply people should be forced to hear or see things they are not interested in. I don’t mind reading general sex questions provided they don’t include specific details. However, it seems that close to a quarter of questions on GAG are vulgar specifically described sex questions.

We should be able to block and not read questions about anything not shown in R rated movies such as the Blue Lagoon. However, hints not expressed are okay. The Blue has a hint that I wouldn’t want to see but it is not shown.

I wish there was a way to block crude vulgar questions because I don't like to read the questions either. I like your suggestion, that GAG provide a way to block question with specifics that are not allowed in R rated movies. If so, I would exercise that option.

In another thread 13 year old @Apulu_Imback, from India, described in detail how to block Sexuality with the following instructions: 1. Go to topics. 2. Then select manage topics. 3. Scroll to sexuality topic. 4. You will see three dots in right top corner. Click that. 5. You will see Block option, block the topic.

You are welcome. Hopefully GAG will be influenced by your opion. "Our [GAG] members must be 18+ to ask “how to” sexual Questions." However, GAG doesn't prevent under 18 from reading them. Nor does GAG provide a means to block the question from view.

@kelleynice I think you can eliminate the "Sexuality" category from your feed in your settings. I don't know about the censorship thing. I feel like people can and will learn about sex even at 13 or even younger if they want to. At whatever level of detail they seek out.

I might be wrong, but I do believe that minors under a certain age don't have access to certain topics, like the sex related ones.

The only requirement to open an account with GAG is age 13. I am 13 and I can see (and read) all the vulgar sex questions.

I only recently joined GAG so I don't know their policies from ago. Perhaps they changed. The following are the current policies which are a bit misleading because a member mush 18+ to ask “how to” sexual Questions. However, any member, even age 13 can read the posts. Adult Content Under 18 – These are posts that contain overly sexual content posted by users under 18. Our members must be 18+ to ask “how to” sexual Questions. Posts that provide too many sexually graphic details by a member who is under 18 are removed for their protection. This is sexually related content that would not be presented in a high school Sexual Education course. For example, for those under 18, a Sexuality Question such as, "Why do guys get pleasure from nude pics?" is fine while "Best way to turn on a guy friend?" is not. User Under 13 - Members must be at least 13 years old to be a part of GirlsAskGuys. All posts and accounts from members under 13 will be removed from the site and their membership cancelled.

Yeah. It’s really really annoying. There is legitimate questions. Unfortunately finding them you have to sift through tons of sexual and very dumb questions

I have younger siblings, 11-14 and I wouldn't want them reading some of the vulgarity on here. Yet... it's still better than porn sites where you get an image burned into your mind. There's several things I wish I didn't know about even at my age. XD
