If you’re the Dom, he likely doesn’t want to change you.
As the Dom, you should have your own style and he probably wants you to be authentic.
If he’s telling you how to be a Dom, then he’d be changing you, which he doesn’t want to do.
He probably wants you to do what you want (within reason) and have you take control so he can submit to you.
Every Dom is different and every sub is different, so you’ll need to get to know him and he needs to get to know you.
But most often, I hear about subs wanting their Doms to be rougher rather than softer.
I actually don’t think I’ve heard of a sub wish that their Dom was softer, haha.
My intuition says he probably would like you to be rougher, but not at the cost of being authentically you.
If you can channel a rougher more Dominant version of yourself from within you that is still authentically you, you can try that and see how he responds.
My sub likes it when I’m rough in the bedroom, but also strong with the aftercare.
Being aggressive when I need to be and tender when I need to be.
She never directs me and tells me what to do though.
She gives me feedback, which I consider, and I ultimately decide where to go from there.
