Girls, do you insert a tampon with one hand, or does it take two hands?

I've wondered if it takes one hand to hold your labia open, and the other to put the tampon in, or if you can just do it all with one hand?

One hand, but I use an applicator that slides up there and pushes the rampon into my vagina. Question for you and I'm dead serious- when you take a crap, where does your penis go, does it sort of just hang there or does it sit on your lap or do you hold it out of the way or what?

One hand. You don't need to spread your labia, you can feel everything, so you know where to position your tampon and to push in.

You're asking this question cause you're seeing the vagina from a guy's point of view =)

It's not that hard. Or you can just spread the lips open a bit with your pinky and push with your middle or index finger. 2 hands would be such a pain to do.

thanks, it seems like it would be easier, especially when you're starting out, to open yourself up first and then put the tampon inside. Seems like that would be tricky to do with just one hand, but what do I know? LOL

well here's the reason I ask: I remember when I was about 13 or 14, I'd read those instructions that came inside the box of Tampax tampons my mom used. And one of the diagrams showed the person using 2 hands to spread herself open, with the other hand putting the tampon in.
