Girls, how do you smell down there?

My vaginal discharge has a bit of a fishy odor, especially during/after sex. Have you experienced that? Isn't it supposed to have a neutral smell? I'm wondering if I should get it checked... The discharge is of normal consistency, it's just the smell that bothers me

  • Has it always been like this or is it something you have noticed only recently? If it has always been like this it is most likely just the way you are as in yiur genetics, and its nothing to worry about. If it is only something that has started recently, it could be a bacterial infection and vaginitis, and you should have it checked out.

    • It's been like this for a couple years, I just never did anything about it cause I thought it was normal...

    • It might be for you, all girls are different, there is no harm in having it checked out though.

  • If it's too acid and penetrating it could be your ph levels. But I never smelled one so bad that I would want to kiss it. Sone smells become a turn on when you're into it.

Wheb I'm turned on I prefer a thousand times to kiss a girl down there before she showers than after when I cannot taste anything.
So don't be too worried about, unless it looks unhealthy, in that case, might be good to check with a doctor.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Some people notice a strong, fishy odor immediately after sexual intercourse, which is a sign of bacterial vaginosis. Others may note a less distinct smell. Sometimes, semen interacts with vaginal fluid, contributing to vaginal odor. Some lubricants can also affect the pH of the vagina, which can affect the scent

  • Vaginas, by default, do not smell like anything.

  • After sex the body fluids mix and after a time can start to change and smell off. Washing gently or cleaning the vulva / vagina the way doctors /obgyn recommend can go a long way in relieving that problem. Persisting problems, a visit to your M. D. OBGYN is called for.

  • I know I am not a girl but I am a great enthusiast of "eating pussy". The sour scent is a combination of leftover pee and vaginal mucus fermenting anaerobically.
My SO warm water rinses out her vulva every time she sits on the commode. That includes shallow fingering to let out the "leftovers". She is sweet and fresh every time I go south.
