Only a small minority can squirt. So if you tried hard and you can't, then that's completely normal. It has to do with the vaginal gland.
You should touch and push that up your G-spot, that's what triggers squirt. Clit stimulation could be a way too but it's an indirect way and the chance you'll squirt through that is in general not big. Has to do with the sensitivity and how close it is to what triggers it.
