I think it is the same as we cannot imagine having something hanging down there. Since they do not appear suddenly, we get used to it and it is kind of "normal" to us so it does not feel weird. Sometimes it is uncomfortable especially when it comes to sports but a sports bra will make everything stay in place. Most times of the day I do not even recognize my boobs.

It varies because every tiddy is unique in its firmness or softness. I guess your average tiddy would feel quite soft and tender.
