Girls, why porn doesn't sexually arouse you?

girls say they never feel turn on when the see sexy guy, they feel nothing like when they see a sexy lady. seeing sexy lady do nothing for them as well as seeing sexy guys do nothing for them. their body don't automatically stimulate when they see sexy thing. but if they have emotional connection with a guy then they feel turn on. watching porn also doesn't sexually arouse them. they see porn just as normal event. it never arouse them.

why girls don't arouse when they watch porn or when they see sexy guys body? before puberty we guys also don't arouse if we watched porn. it's because of hormone. girls don't have arousing hormone or sexual hormone?

  • You know, I don't think this is true. My ex-wife was into anime porn. I think that she liked that it wasn't real people so it was somehow better for her imagination and getting herself in the mood. But she was also really sensitive about it. Like if I made fun of her about it, she'd get really mad at me so it was one of those things where we'd have to watch it, but I couldn't make any jokes or what not.

    But here's the thing... it was totally unfair as how can you not make jokes about it?

  • Some do, some don't. But essentially they are wired to get aroused by emotional stimulation unlike we get aroused by visuals.

  • As others have said here it is obvious that most of it is fake. And it's mainly aimed for appealing men. I prefer to look at a picture of a fully or semi dressed sexy male model or read erotic novels, and fanfiction that is sexually arousing to me. Rather than watch porn it's just very unappealing.

    Likewise for us having 'arousing hormones', also known as a sex drive. Hate to break it to ya but we weren't put on earth solely as a means for men to be relieved of their own sexual tension.

  • I actually think it's the hormones. Especially testosterone.
    I heard stories from female-to-male-Transsexuals who got hormone (testosterone) treatment and their sex-drive skyrocketed. It also surprised them that their visual preference and attraction to people changed.
    The other way around, if you lack hormones (doesn't matter if female or male hormones) your sex-drive reduces. I lack hormones, I don't even get my period, and I don't get aroused at all. I would even consider myself as asexual.

    • Girls don't have as much testosterone as guys. they have much lower amount of testosterone. does it mean they don't have sex drive or their sex drive is pretty low?

    • You can't quite narrow it down to that.. Hormones are a complex topic and a lot of factors like the combination of different hormone levels, lifestyle and even the mindset play an important role. Testosteron may has a lot of influence, but females also have other hormones like LH

  • It would actually work, but males seem to have terrible taste in pornographic material with "the more dicks in the woman the better" principle going on.

    It's not arousing because 99% of porn is disgusting and disturbing, or just plain boring because the guy sucks and the girl is bored.

  • It's not true for all women obviously, but a part of it is porn is a visual medium. Guy's arousal is more linked to visual cues than women.

    On the other hand women are more likely to read romance novels than guys for that exact reason.
