Superb Opinion

  • I'm not that athletic, but in any case professional boxers seem to be at enormous risk for permanent brain damage. There are other sports that pay better with little physical risk, like golf, tennis, football (not American football). It also appears that one can make a very nice living playing snooker.

I work for one of the FAANG companies and thousands and thousands of people have become very wealthy in a relatively short time from stock appreciation. Someone who received 1000 shares of Amazon ten years and kept them is now holding about $3.5 million in stock, just from working a 40 hour job for a few years.

Most Helpful Guy

  • I've boxed in smokers.

no, because among other things I'm not good enough and don't have terrific aptitude. I move around, have good reach, good tactical understanding and perhaps a good chin though I don't try to rely on that. But I don't have good natural explosiveness or speed.

like most sports, you need to be truly exceptional to make any sort of money in it. By contrast I earn pretty decent money off my brain.

If I had the talent to scrape by as a low end pro? Nah. Not giving up my career.

but if I was a natural and had easily cruised to winning Golden gloves kind of talent snd it looked like I could at least be a contender? Well I guess I'd consider it.

I'd be pretty smart about it, good corner and not stick around too long taking too much damage at the end. Not sure but I'd at least consider it.

  • Not really

  • No, I don't have this kind of discipline and dedication towards gyms.

  • I was an amateur, welter weight, and never fought Golden Gloves. No never would consider it, even if good enough. Too many blows to the head and you are finished.

  • I see no point in an activity that aims to injure others.
(not talking about self defense here).
Boxing, and other caveman related ''sports'' ignore that we all went to school once.

  • Depends, if I get a £5m purse for first fight then yes.

  • No, it is a brutal sport and afterwards you have to deal with brain damage.

  • no thanks, i wouldn't regularly have my face beaten into a pulp for any money in this world.

  • Nah. Not worth the risk.

  • I took boxing classes and lessons and was since i was like 16 or 17 until is was about 24. My best friends dad growing up was a coach. But i would never looked at it as a profession or anything. It was just fun doing that with all your friends.

  • Nah. Don't want to get brain damaged

  • Nope. I like my face not to be punched

  • No nevee

  • I wouldn't want to be a boxer. My skills are better suited for MMA. I grab my opponent, smash them into the ground, get on top of them and pound them into submissions. There are a lot of tears and some crying

Wait, Were you asking about sex or sports?

  • No, even if I was good at it , look at Mickey Rourkes face after all those years
