I don't always, but I have before. If you use an electric trimmer, you just get prickly balls, so you have to shave. I'm not sure how it would be possible to wax them, though - the skin is too thin and I could see that going very badly!!!

I use a combination of tools like take the worst with a trimmer as low as I can, then shaving with foam. Never done waxxing.

I use a set of sideburn trimmers without a guard, very, very, very carefully, just trimming it short. Because of the way the skin is down there, relying on a guard results in painful cuts. I won’t risk using a razor on my scrotum because I tried it above my penis, and had ingrown hairs so bad I had to see a doctor and take antibiotics. I also won’t try waxing for the same reason.

I keep the whole area down there shaved.
I use shaving cream and then use a Schick razor. I am careful, but still, I do get all the areas above, below, and around the balls. I don't go too far underneath because the hairs there grow differently and I get a lot of ingrowns if i do.

The option that seems safe to me for bald would be some kind of hair removal cream. Skip the pain I believe comes with wax but would assume it doesn't last as long ether :-)

I have, don’t always but do occasionally, using a safety razor. It’s oddly easy. I’m not sure why. I think it helps that the hair growth on the balls isn’t that heavy (for me at least). You can just use very light hand since there’s not much hair being cut. Wax I don’t think would work as the skin is loose.
