Fundamental reason: the need to undress in front of another adult, which is something virgins not done since many years ago.

And this act can be really awkward especially if the person feels certain "imperfections" on the body.

Another reason for the strong sense of shyness is the lack of experience, which means non virgin who are experienced will be less shy.

This I think is a human psychology because ultimately, we are creatures dictated by confidence. Only when we have experience will our confidence level rise, thereby removes the shyness. This is where virgins and non virgins are different in the bedroom.

I don't think virgin girls are more shy, it's that shy girls usually lose their virginity later in life. It's not like once a shy girl loses her virginity she's not shy anymore.

I don't believe so. I have met some virgin girls who are so much open their sexuality than those who are not virgin. I think it is about their sex drives.
