Guys and girls, the first couple times you went down on a girl, did you ever get sick afterwards? Did it deter you from trying it again?

When I say sick, I mean sick as in flu like symptoms. I recently read a question from a young guy that just recently became sexually active and he said he got sick a couple days after eating out two different women. I vividly remember the same thing happening to me with the first two girls I went down on. I had swollen tonsils, high fever and body aches. No, the girls were not "nasty", they were clean and I knew them prior. It actually made me afraid to try it again but I did and never had a problem. Lastly, I actually called the girls and told them I was sick and if they had been sick. I just wanted them to know they might have gotten a virus or something from me.

  • Yes! The very first time I ate a girl out. Like you said, she was very clean and we had been dating, so I know she hadn't been sick. About two days later I was sick as a dog! She was worried she was gonna get sick, luckily she didn't think it was from going down on her but I don't know if it could've been from that. It never happened again.

    • Actually you can get sick from kissing. Anytime bodily fluid is exchanged you can catch something. The person that is carrying the virus might not be showing symptoms and may never develop symptoms but can still be contagious.

  • It probably wasn’t the oral sex. Those symptoms sound a lot like mono. You probably got it from kissing them.

    • Yeah, it's almost impossible to get a flu from oral. What had me confused is neither girl had been sick or got sick. I was wondering if they may have been asymptomatic with a contagious virus? Imagine the odds of it happening twice! Or, like I told someone else, I could have had a reaction to something she used or a certain bacteria. I don't know.

    • I only say that because I remember in high school that mono was going around and it was being passed mainly by those who were sexually active (yes, I got it too). It can be very mild or asymptomatic like you said and still be contagious. Anyway, that’s why I guessed mono.

    • Hmm, you are probably right. I never went to a doctor but I was EXTREMELY sick with a horrible sore throat and pounding headache. It was about two weeks before I started feeling good. It's funny, I never thought of mono. How long were you sick? I had the major symptoms for about 4 days but was weak and would get tired easily for about 2 weeks and felt pretty good after about three weeks.
