No little one. What happened to you is horrible and horrific. And GaG is a horrible place for women who have been raped to talk about their feelings. Your generation is probably less empathetic than even mine. And it is only getting worse. It is disgusting reading the responses. Men in these forums think you ask the question because you are a feminist. I guess that goes to show you just how ignorant sexist freakshows are. They are totally devoid of logic.
I encourage you to find a support group. Find women who have had your experience. And find groups (male or female) that are supportive of women who have been abused/raped.
This nation has entered a time where public blaming of victims is tolerated and encouraged. I really don't know what to say, other than us common sense folk must fight back with everything we have. Even if it is a losing battle.0 0 0 0 - kheserthorpe Master+1 y
Hell no.
There's... I don't know... almost no point to me. If i want to get off, I can get myself off. If I want to have a more attractive woman lay there pretending to be into it, while i thrust in and out of her, i could hire someone.
The reason i crave sex over jerking off is not because it feels slightly better, it's because i want the intensity of mutual desire. Not an attractive lump of flesh i'm thrusting into.4 3 0 0- kheserthorpe+1 y
At the moment we've got about 33 no, 2 yes. Which is about 6% yes. The reality seems to be somewhere in the 1/10 or 1/20 of men are potentially rapists.
- Asker+1 y
That's just on GaG it's alarming.
- kheserthorpe+1 y
What do you mean by 'just on GaG'? Why would GaG be... lower than say average college aged men? I might expect higher because as I've noted in general, we skew towards higher sex interest individuals. (on the other hand, could be that guys who commit rape aren't interested in women's thoughts and only hang out talking to other guys in forums that are less mixed. that would be useful to know as well!)
- Show All Show Less
- Asker+1 y
Because we're talking about like 40 guys out of how many guys are in this world? So 6% is a lot in my opinion
- kheserthorpe+1 y
Well... 6% is 6%. But if we were hoping it was only like 0.1% of men, then it would be shocking. That said, we -know- how frequenly rape occurs, the number of men saying 'yes' doesn't change it. What we don't know is how many men are responsible? Is it a lot of men doing it occasionally or what? The fewre men doing it, the more those guys are doing it.

I'm glad tI see a lot of men saying no to this. I am a rape victim and this kind of thinking (that men would rape if they could get away with it) is detrimental to the recovery of victims of rape. Do you know how hard it is to feel okay again? How much harder it is to be intimidate with someone again after that happens? It really ruins you. And it puts the fear of men into you for awhile, where you might start irrationally thinkin that eveyone is out to get you.
It took me a long time and sometimes I'm still wary of men I dont know but I'm geting over it. Basically, rape isn't something that should be talked about lightly, even though I understand kind of where you're coming from when asking this question0 0 0 0- Asker+1 y

This is a disgusting thing to do. People rape for purpose of carrying out a deliberate act of sexual violence against someone, not to get his rocks off unconventionally.
1 0 0 1- kheserthorpe+1 y
I'm not sure that claim is well supported tbh. Most rapes are opportunistic by a small subset of men who seem to want to do it. It's not all that clear to what extent most of them just want sex and don't care how, versus particularly want to commit rape, or what. Violent rapists are more likely to be mixing desire to be violent with sexual fetish but they're a small minority. Most rapists take advantage of close to passed out women when they can get away with it.

I would! Might sound crazy, but I'm not going to lie. If there is an opportunity to get my dick wet, even if the girl doesn't consent, without getting caught, I would jump at the chance. Males are created horny for a reason, and if I had a great oppurtunity like that, I'd totally go for it. In fact, I have no problem going out right now and finding a sexy girl and having unprotected intercourse with her. Though I would make sure that she enjoys it as well, with focusing on her clit for a good amount of time. And make sure she feels my muscle for her to be more comfortable with that type of sex. Believe me, even if a man acts like he is 100% not a rapist, there is a high chance that he has rape fantasies. That's just how men are, they want sex.

Men are human beings and have heart just like women do. We care about other people just like women do. We love our fellow human beings, just like women do. We want to do the right thing and don't want to hurt other people, just like women.
There it is. I know it comes as complete surprise to you as a woman because feminists have been telling you for decades that all men are pigs and rapists. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that totally false.
Stop listening to feminist bullshit, dumbass.2 2 2 2- Asker+1 y
Umm okay. Let me tell you something, sit down here I go. I don't believe all men are pigs and rapists and guess what? I was raped! So don't put words into my mouth. Somebody told me that if a guy could rape and get away with it, he would. I don't really believe it but, I still wanted to hear what guys have to say about it. I'm not a feminist in any way shape or form. No need for the name calling.
- kheserthorpe+1 y
Someone out there is committing rapes. Lots of them. So its a valid question as to what extent it's a small pocket of men, versus most men doing it once. Studies have shown its the former. So another reasonable question is, do most men want to do this but don't because it's illegal, or is it only a subjset of men who -want- to commit rape? Valid questions if they are asked honestly.
- Asker+1 y

Actually as this point (when i last tallied) 6% said they would. Larger studies asking college age men if they've had sex without consent found something like 5% had (similar studies on military recruits were a little higher). Tons of rapes are happening out there, SOMEONE is doing it, so it's a valid line of attempting to actually understand by saying hey, is this something most people want but don't because of laws? Or is it a small subset who are not being controlled? Better to study then cook up some BS theory about it being how the patriarchy uses it to keep women down.
- Asker+1 y
And seriously if people you love were raped I don't think your reaction would be 'WTF, No!'
- Bysshe+1 y
@kheserthorpe About 5% of college aged men have actually committed a rape?

If you really were, then I'm sorry it happened, but I have a hard time believing you. I think you're trolling. @kheserthorpe Great link

You just contradicted yourself. 'You asked if a guy would want to rape a girl and my answer was fuck no' and then you went on to say 'how the fuck is that hard to believe especially when I've seen it ruin the lives of people close to me' do you see how you make no fucking sense? Obviously if people rape they want to! Nobody forces someone to rape you fucking idiot! You completely misunderstood the question anyways. My question is if a man would rape if he would know he'd get away with it. And some guys did say yes so I'm not completely off. I have no fucking reason to feel like I need to prove to you I've been raped neither do you have the right to tell me how to act. Maybe me talking about it casually is my way of coping. I would never in my life make a joke out of rape. I know how much people suffer from it. So just for the fact that you said that please go fuck yourself and don't talk to me again
- Asker+1 y

- Opinion Owner+1 y
Hard time reading? WTF NO = No, I would not consider raping a girl even if given the opportunity to get away with it. Doubly so because I've seen the damage it causes. Rape bait questions are common, I see them from men and women, and they piss me off every time. I still think you were trying to troll, but again, if you were actually raped, I'm sorry it happened.
- Asker+1 y
You make it sound like 'rape what's that'? Girls get raped all the time. I wanted to understand if a guy wouldn't do it because it's wrong or because they're scared of the consequences. It's a very legit question. It's not trolling in the least. You've seem the damage it's caused? Don't for a second pretend to know the pain a rape victim goes through! I don't care how many people you saw suffer from it. You have no clue what it's like. And there's nothing worse then people saying they don't believe you after it happened. So the harm is done. Just keep your sorry's to yourself. It's because of sick fuckers like you that rape victims get second guessed. Just go fuck yourself.

A common message from feminists is that all men are rapists or potential rapists. That is what I was referring to. They try to back it up with bullshit statistics showing 1 in 5 women have been raped. That's a lie, and just one of many ubiquitous lies told by feminists to fan the flames of misandry.
www.youtube.com/watch
Don't be part of that problem. No one benefits from the perpetuation of lies that spawn hatred for an entire gender. - Asker+1 y
I don't believe at all that all men are rapists. That wasn't the point of my question.
- aamy811+1 y
Actually some people have misread that statistic wrong, they say 1/6 is at one point sexually assaulted in her life. So it includes being raped, molested, etc. which would surprise me also because of the legal age of consent that makes the rates go up, so if she's 15 and her boyfriend is 16 or 17 it's not exactly legal, consensual sex (assuming the consent age is 16).

It goes well beyond that. The statistic includes not only rape but attempted rape, unwanted contacts such as a kiss, and even verbal harassment. Those things are NOT rape and yet they were all combined into one category for the purposes of that 1 in 5 statistic. The rate of actual rape is a tiny fraction of that, which is why people are so cynical in the rape discussion and one of many reasons feminists are not respected today.

If by rape you mean she's at my house on my bed after a date and we all had a few drinks and she keeps putting up bs excuses when she's down to her panties and I don't plan on seeing her again then probably.
If you mean a more violent version with a knife and roughness and such then no unless I know her and she's done some truly really horrible things to me/people I care about. But not to a random, innocent person.
Let the hate comments begin. I don't care, it's my honest opinion. And no, I've not raped anyone and neither do I plan to.0 0 8 1- Asker+1 y
I don't think there is anything wrong with what you said.

Seriously? @Asker
- promiscuous-petal+1 y
That's still rape. You're disgusting. Die.

Sorry I misread it. You're wrong. I don't think it's rape but, it's wrong.
- Bysshe+1 y
@Asker Even if a girl is down to her panties if she says no and he forces her to go further against her will it's still rape - getting undressed doesn't give him consent. He's also said he'd be willing to rape someone if she's "done some truly really horrible things to me/people I care about." - Which I thinks quite vile, and definitely rape.
- Opinion Owner+1 y
"That's still rape" "further against her will it's still rape" No fucking shit sherlock it's still rape, did you read the damn question? "GUYS! If you could rape a girl and get away with it". It's not asking about last minute resistance.
- Asker+1 y
It's rape but, I still don't like to call it that because there are real rape victims (I included) who are not flaunting themselves practically asking for sex that are getting raped and not being believed because these type of girls. That still doesn't make it right for a guy to touch her but, I don't like to call it rape. That other sentence he said just made no sense to me. @Bysshe
- Bysshe+1 y
I was commenting on this "I don't think it's rape but, it's wrong."
- kheserthorpe+1 y
I gotta thank you for answering honestly, and note before people throw too much hate that you have not raped anyone and indicate you don't plan to. How much do you think the YOUR having had a few drinks influences things?
- Bysshe+1 y
@Asker I think I get what you're saying.
- Opinion Owner+1 y
@Asker I wasn't referring to you in my last comment. And I'm sorry to hear that you're a rape victim. A fantasy is a fantasy but that doesn't make me a sociopath. @kheserthorpe the absolute maximum I usually drink is only until my coordination and balance become weird but I never lose full control of myself as I don't want stupid shit to happen that I will regret.
- kheserthorpe+1 y
Yeah, that's what I was getting at a bit. I know when I was younger, once or twice i was really pushy when hammered (one of them black out, no memory) trying to make out with a girl. Sober, the idea of kissing a girl not into it has zero appeal, but evidently i didnt' notice or.. . something. Never been in a position where I was pushing sex drunk, and sober of course, doesn't appeal. But I wondered to what extent when you said 'welve been drinking' how much you were taking that into account. Like there's being drunk so you don't worry about consequences, but i suspect there's also a certain amount of 'being drunk so you're not thinking about anything beyond 'she hot. me have sex'. I don't know.
- cphiecekslee+1 y
Nah, its definitely still rape if you push a woman (moreover, a DRUNK woman) to have sex, regardless of whether or not she's already almost naked. You could be about to penetrate and if she says stop or no, and you don't, you're a rapist. If you're in the middle of sex amd she says stop and you don't, you're a rapist. Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you coerce, pressure or force another human to have sex with you in some way, you're a rapist. That's it. There is no grey area of rape.
- kheserthorpe+1 y
@cphiecekslee I don't think anyone's disputing that here. But it's still useful to break it down, because although someone who badgers a drunk woman till she stops saying no, and someone who takes advantage of a passed out woman, and someone who threatens a woman with violence are all committing rape, they are different situations, and if our goal is to understand who commits rape, when, and how, and how it might be reduced, then we need to break it down and understand.
- Asker+1 y
I agree it is rape but my problem with that is girls are taking advantage of it. They get all drunk practically ask for sex, have sex and then they regret it and call it rape. This is 1 of the reasons real rape victims are being second guessed. I'm not in any way saying it's right but, it's not the same thing. @cphiecekslee
- kheserthorpe+1 y
Girls who consent when drunk, then regret it, may be considered sexual assault victims by certain support groups and certain college campuses, but are not considered victims by most legal codes. And they are not considered victims by the guys who slept with them with their consent. A more troubling group are those who are saying no, then stop saying no, and their partner is drunk and not very aware of her reactions, and takes her silence as consent, and plows forward, and they wake up the next day wondering what happened. This, sadly, happens. But from what i'm able to gather, most rapes involving alcohol, the girl is hammered to the point of nearly passing out, and the guy knows he doesn't have consent, and takes the opportunistic advantage to get away with it. That's certainly rape, though staggeringly hard to PROVE after the fact.

No, I wouldn't. I'm keeping this anonymous so that I seriously have no reason to lie. But I would seriously kill myself if I ever raped someone. It's the most vile thing any human can do.

Because of what someone told me. I don't believe it as a whole but, I'm sure there are individuals who would say yes.

Hmm... the temptation is there. Rape fantasies are so hot. Under the perfect circumstances, it is possible I might just go through with it. Let's say I haven't had sex in 2 weeks and I'm HORNY AS HELL, there's a fine ass girl laying on bed passed out and let's assume I won't get caught... yep temptation might take over.

wtf how did I get so many thumbs down. You guys needa realize that thought process goes through every guys head whether they wanna admit it or not. It's part of our genetic programming. You're pretty sick to ask this
Guys would only do it for role play. That's not even real rape, it's just being dominate.2 1 5 0- Asker+1 y
What are you talking about?
- Opinion Owner+1 y
I'm telling you, that you have mental problems for asking this. Why would you ask this? Some women have "rape fantasies" and so do men, but it's not considered rape because it's consent and it's about domination
- Asker+1 y
I'm asking because a guy friend told me that guys would rape a girl if they can truly get away with it. I found that sick so I wanted to know what guys on here think.

Yep go read a couple of the guys responses. It's sickening.
- kheserthorpe+1 y
Look, if no guys would do this, rape wouldn't exist. Obviously some guys -would- do it. The question is whether most guys would do it but don't out of fear of being caught, or whether most guys dont' want to. It might be useful to consider that surveys of young men asking about rape, get no answers, but if they don't use the R word, men seem to answer pretty honestly. And it looks like maybe 5% of men commit virtually all the rapes, they do it repeatedly, they usually do it to drunk girls. (A study of men joining the army i think found closer to a 10% rate. There's some reason to think that guys joining the army are a little more aggressive than average, and have had more issues with violence. Note that it's still a minority of those guys, just a bigger minority). Are there some guys who don't do it who would? Probably. But I don't think it's like another 30%, maybe a few % more. Sad reality is if guys want to have non-consent sex, its... likely not that hard.
- Anonymous+1 y
Obviously I wouldn't rape anyone
