Guys, if you only want sex from a girl and have her as a friends with benefits why would you call her just to talk?

I have a casual hookup arrangement with a guy. He called me randomly and spent 45 minutes on the phone with me just talking to me about life and work etc to see how I was doing. Nothing sexual was brought up once. He will also let me vent about my day and problems for 45 min to an HR if I want. We talk on the phone pretty frequently.. Is this normal for a guy to do to with a girl he doesn't want to get attached to but wants to have sex with?

He sounds like more than a friends with benefits, but there are no rules to say friends with benefits can't have a normal conversation. I had an friends with benefits and we would occasionally do things together where no sex was involved, like going to movies, playing squash, or being each other's dates for events like weddings.

To be honest a guy can never be like friends with benefits. If he calls u for almost an hour he might have feelings for you but it will end once u guys stop having sex. He is calling u and talking about life because u are emotionally connected while having sex. So once ur terms are over he might find the same kind of connection with anyone else.
