  • 'YES' and you'll note, it ALWAYS runs "UP" your spine... BUT,
when you are energy deficient as when you come in from the cold and stand before a fire,
the 'chill' ALWAYS runs 'DOWN' your spine!

Though little discussed, the large muscle groups of your thighs and back
DO have the equivalent of 'electrocyte' cells, much like electric eels
in the mid-20th century, Dr. Wilhelm Reich wrote an excellent tome
called "The Function of Orgasm"" too radical in premise for the fledgling FSA prudes,
it was censured and his books burned, despite some of his 'Orgone' devices
validated by no less than Albert Einstein.

And the Russian's Kirlean photography documents humans emit measurable
electromagnetic radiant energies borne of pent-up 'fight or flight' unreleased frustration
which are released in convulsive physical climax.
Which is 'why' you feel so 'spent' post coitus.

  • Yep. It's similar but different from ASMR. I also get something similar but to a lesser degree when I shudder at something gross or unpleasant, or I can give it to myself consciously.

Also, after really good sex for a long time, my pelvic area is really warm for a few hours like sitting on a hot towel just out from the dryer. Sometimes my back, butt, legs, abs, and/or arms are sore too. :)

What Guys Said

  • It happens during a great orgasm... especially for round 2 or 3 with me. What have you noticed?

  • I guess so, if you mean like the urge of having to jerk your head back.

  • Often, yes

  • I feel something like that but it feels more like a wave of warmth and pleasure than a shiver.

  • No, it does not feel like that.

  • No. But I've had toe curling orgasms where I just laid there in a daze for like 5 minutes.

  • Sometimes, it depends. Sometimes I shiver leading up to masturbation

  • Never a shiver. But no matter what, in every situation, I immediately yawn. I guess it's part of the release somehow. Weird, I know.

  • Once in a while... it all depends how the experience was.
