I think it depends on HOW you ask for them....
I personally hate it when guys ask me in a very blunt and needy manner, and I'd also treat guys with the respect they deserve.
Also, receiving nudes is much more rewarding when you get them without asking after openly sending messages with explicit content back and forth.

I have asked guys to send me very specific pictures before, not naked, and they happily did so, it depends on the level of trust in a relation-/friendship as well as on the type of situation you're in at that particular moment.

I'm not offended when guys I like ask me for nudes, I politely tell them I don't want to send them stuff like that and that I'd prefer for them not to ask again to save us other embarassing moments :)
