Has porn gone down hill?

Years ago, porn stars were household names. Even if you weren't into porn you still knew their names and admired their professionalism and skill. Back then there was only a few but now there's billions in including amateur.

Now amateur should be more realistic but I'm finding it's beginning to look even faker than the professional stuff. It's even losing it's uniqueness as a lot are starting to look the same just as every Instagram girl looks the same. And most try way to hard to put on a show.

Here's a random one I chose:

For obvious reasons, there no point in going past the first three lines. The "poet" has drawn like a child with a crayon. Yes, we know the sun is bright and yellow. We know it is in the horizon, and is often observed reflected in water. What is it doing besides the usual? Oh it's "contradicting" the darkened shadowed branches. Just fucking kill me.

Now let us read the first three lines of a Wallace Stevens poem.

Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird
Among twenty snowy mountains,
The only moving thing
Was the eye of the blackbird.

Immediately the reader is drawn in by the imagery, a scene of mystery, stillness and isolation evoked by nothing less that unembellished depiction of reality. The static, immobile mountains are the backdrop of the solitary focal point: an eye, an observer, a perceiver.

Well because porn is something that literally anyone can make and because thats true there is going to be a lot of it which makes the problem not does the thing i want exist but how can i find the thing that i want?

This problem is one which is dealt with by algorithums which people make and then run on computers, I strongly suspect that this is where the problem lies; it's not just because (they are) all of the people who have anything at all to do with the creation of these algorithums are so dangerously mentally defective that they would be well advised to wear a helmet, it is because of the way in which porn is funded; no one cares if the viewer got what they wanted the only thing that matters is that data is generated which says that a person viewed a thing, THAT data, regardless of its quality is then sold to the sort of cunt that literally everyone on Earth wants dead.

So if you want good porn the solution is simple; all you have to do is persuade a majority of humans to pay for it.

I think porn was a pretty taboo things when we were younger. No one talked about it although everyone watched it. The increase in popularity has created this massive market for actresses and actors to pretty much saturate the market. On top of that, there are new sub fields for people to explore that were common before. All the BDSM stuff, the extra kicky pages and all the jazz.
Porn isn’t even a performance piece anymore. It’s just what can I get off to quickly so I can go about my day.

This is a good question especially when you added the amateurs because you would think has anybody that's going to make a film that they too would hate the fakeness and they would make it a lot better with better quality like it's real so my theory is everybody's a bunch of followers anymore they don't even know them on cells they don't know real from fake. Or they just don't care because they're an adult film star in their head. You would think if you're going to get paid for something especially like that he would make the best first one that you possibly could so you would get a second one and more pay and so on and so on and so on

Some porn stars were well known, but I would not call them household names. And I have no idea about the "quality of porn" these days. But I am sorry to hear that the porn you watch so much has gone downhill. Perhaps you should create porn and show the world how to really do it. I think pornography has become much more popular, but on the same time, the offer (number of porn actors and porn actresses) grew hugely, and many X free sites arrived, which created competition. So, porn actresses must adapt to what producers ask them, in some way, even if they can become producers themselves. I think many porn stars play a role, like in a movie, but with their body. After, Mia Khalifa is known, and there are still actors and actresses who lean towards realism, it's just you have to search.

How would you know? You weren't even alive when porn had production values, big name stars and god forbid, a storyline.

But all that is by the way. The porn industry died when everyone got the internet. Who is going to buy a cow when they can get milk delivered free? Chances are if you see a porn star now they're streaming on Twitch. And that's just the girls. The guys are either dead or in jail.
