A tall girl I know rejected a man that's taller than her because she has this opinion and mindset that tall men are abusive for the simple reason that her father is a very tall man and he had one heck of a short fuse and when that fuse blew ohhhh boy...

I mean I've definitely gotten women over guys that were taller than me before, but it was more because I knew how to talk to girls and I was entertaining. They were taller but they didn't have a lot else going on at the time.
