I think this is normal. I have called ones who were close to me by the names of ones I liked before them. It happened many times. To be honest, I don't find it as a bad thing. it is we are liking them the same as the one before them. We start to feel closer to the new one as the old one. Most people would feel jealous or find it as he she is not over the past.
