yep! im actually currently in one going 2 years strong and moving in together soon :D I've actually always been someone to think online is weird.. i avoided it like the plague and made sure everyone i knew online was aware id never be interested in them for the sole reason it was online... in total I've had two online relationships. in my opinion, and mind due i have limited experience- online isn't that different from irl beside the fact that people can hide more from you easier and the distance.

before i talk about my experience i will say one thing- I've seen a lot of online relationships and i think most can agree when i say they usually dont last. in my opinion, i think i just found my one in a million by chance..

my first online relationship was with this guy i only agreed to because it was something new and intriguing.. little did i know the baggage... ended up being a therapist more than a girlfriend and all the guy ever messaged me for was to sext or send nudes which i actually never sent because i just wasn't comfortable (thank god.). this relationship lasted less than a year and i was pretty young maybe 13 or 14 so take that how you will. the guy was a year older.

my second much more successful online relationship i was 16 when we first met and 17 when we decided to get together. now, by this time i was very against online. i despised it almost. i won't lie, to no fault of his, i didn't expect it to last. obviously, it did last. im not gonna get too sappy but at this point, now that we have been together so long, i dont know what id do without him. i really think i just got lucky though and still am against online relationships but am a little more open.. these past two years have by far been the best I've ever lived through and even if it doesn't end how i hope it will, im glad i got to experience it. however i will say, god, it took so much work. the distance became so horrible sometimes and mind due im very introverted- in fact, i didn't even care about the distance until the second year but when it hits it hits hard. dating online requires a lot more trust than you may think but in my opinion is so much more fruitful if it does work out... calls for a cool story too!
