I've been going to nude beaches most of my life, from about 3 years on. I believe I've only gotten an erection once, and it was instigated by my wife on our honeymoon when no one else was on the beach around us (I quickly reminded her that it wasn't acceptable conduct on a nude beach and we returned to our resort). Doesn’t bother me. Was on a swim team in college and we all walked around hard in speedos at some point. most people don’t care and after a while don’t even notice.

I grew up near the beach and this was a genuine problem when I was younger - I’ve had a sunburned back from digging a hole in the sand and laying on my front waiting for it to go soft! It’s kind of funny in hindsight but at the time it’s a nightmare.
Oh yeah - also worn briefs/underwear underneath swimming shorts - that can kind of hold it down a bit but it’s still very obvious
