I did once, we termed it a 'sympathy fuck' but back then I was too much
the Christian Momma's naïve 'boy scout' romantic and declined
saying "if I couldn't give her my best, I valued her too much to participate half-heartedly"
(I SHOULD have 'ravaged' her and drove her into the mattress
til she walked funny and couldn't sit down! )

She didn't take it as the compliment that I intended and it ruined our friendship,
believing that I didn't find her 'inspirational ENOUGH'.
I'd just lost my fiancée' the previous weekend and my psyche and libido were at odds.
Decades later, I still feel the need to apologize yet again ~

Yes, many times. A lot of just laying there, letting them do the work til they were done (which was pretty quickly).

Closest I ever came to this was giving someone a pity hand-job. Both drunk after a work fancy-dress party years ago, both dressed in school-uniform, he was crashing at my flat. It was pretty well known he'd broke up with his long-term g/f a few months ago and he was pretty down about it, and we ended up having a bit of a drunken kissing session in the back of the cab on the way back. I don't know if I would classify it as pity sex or not. Because it wasn't a "I feel bad for you so I'll fuck you if you want" scenario, it was a "I'm not in the mood but you are and I'd feel bad for turning you down again so let's just do it" scenario. Maybe that counts as pity sex, and if it does than I've had A LOT of pity sex
