Have you ever had sex with a close friend?

Have you ever had sex with a close friend? What happened afterwards? Did you stay friends? Did you start dating? Was it awkward afterwards? I admitted to my close friend that I’ve been feeling very sexually attracted to him and he said he feels the same way and that we don’t have to stop being friends… because Im worried. I want to hear about other experiences.

  • Yes but we remained friends for a short period of time after that , we both just got out of a relationship and weren’t looking to jump into a new one so we decided to become FWB’s the sex was amazing and she was a great friend , but me personally wasn’t ready to settle down again I wanted to stay single and do what I pleased , little did I realize she wanted to be with me but I was so blind to it at that time , that I blew my chances with her when I met another girl , are friendship pretty much drifted away by that time because I was having fun with this other girl, when I came to my senses my friend moved on and she was gone , I still kick myself in the ass to this day for being such a dumbass , if I could go back on time I would start over with her easily and not been a selfish piece of shit

  • For most people, having sex leads to feelings of attachment and it is impossible for most people to go backwards in a relationship. You can't have sex, develop romantic feelings, and then go back to just being platonic friends. Yes, there is some risk in crossing that line.

On the other hand, many people say that they want their sexual/romantic partner to also be their best friend. If you decide to move forward, you are already friends, you know each other, and the relationship you develop may become close to ideal for you.

You've gotta take a chance if you wanna find romance!

    • Thanks for MHO!

    • @OlderAndWiser There's a difference between dating a friend and having sex with a friend, though. Those are two different things. I don't think there's anything wrong with dating someone you're already friends with, but you have to actually establish a romantic connection with them and define the relationship before you start getting sexual.

  • Yup with both a female and a male friend.
with the girl we even started dating, but didn’t work and remained friends. With the dude, we like the sex and remain friends

  • I try not to have sex with girls who are friends as it tends to complicate things and I do not want to risk losing them as friends.

  • I had a female friend I used to be able to talk about everything with. We used to hug and kiss, but no sex. I just broke up with a a girlfriend and her boyfriend ghosted her and we were both depressed and horny and did it just one time. We both apologized to each other and still remained friends for a long time

    • I love that you guys stayed friends for a long time afterwards. I feel like we r similar. We tell each other everything and both have recently had bad things happen in our lives. Made us a little closer but now when I’m with him or he touches me I feel like…. electricity down there lol hard to explain but it’s only with him

  • No, sometimes I would think about it and sometimes she would think about it but we never thought about it at the same time.

  • Nope, there were a few female friends in college that I would have been down to have sex with though

  • Yes, yes, no, not really.

  • When I’m married my wife will also still be my best friend, if that counts.

    • I want my my husband to be my best friend as well. That counts

    • People often forget or overlook that the phrase “more that friends” suggests that friendship is the foundation. (Or at least should be.)

  • Nope.

  • Yeah I have had sex with a couple of my close friends who are girls. Sometimes it was just from bored or she will tell me she haven't had sex for awhile and ask to borrow me. We all still stay friends there just flings to relive some stress from the world. I did started dating one of them for awhile but we didn't really have a connection other than amazing sex. We kind bacame friends with benefits after that

  • Yes, a few times. We are still friends to this day. Although, when they find a boyfriend, they usually don't talk to me that much.

  • She was the first person i had sex with

  • Yes, a female friend in college.

  • Nope, prefer not to risk the friendship over a night of fun

  • I don't have sex outside of relationships, but I also will only date people from my friend group. I would say that since you both have feelings for each other I would try dating with sex as part of it. Although conventional wisdom says that you can't be in a successful relationship with a friend, evidence suggests that those are the most successful relationships.

  • Well yeah any wife, girlfriend , SO is or should be considered your best friend, your closest friend

    • We’re both single

  • Yes many times. I've been attracted to her hence why we had sex but attached-no. She is free to be with whomever she likes. We meet up and pick up right where we left off-sex. We are close and care for one another but I wouldn't date her.

  • I have a good friend I had known for over 20 years. We went to a pub one night, got a hardon dancing with her. went back to my house and fucked like hell. We both enjoyed it so much we now fuck once or twice a week. Great sex!
