Have you ever lusted sexually over someone so bad, but felt no romantic connection?

It's the weirdest thing, there is a guy who I (after literally years of sexual tension between us) have been sleeping with. I can't explain how bad I want him, to the point that I would do absolutely anything with him in bed and if I can't touch him when I'm near him it hurts. He absolutely drives me crazy and brings my body to a whole different world... and yet, when I really think about it, there is nothing there but sexual attraction. It confuses me to want someone so bad but feel no desire to love them.

    This I believe is the first time you have experienced the same feelings and they conflict with what you as a female are used to experiencing regarding love and sex. It certainly happens less often for your gender but that does not mean it's abnormal. Guys don't understand why girls have to be in love or feel a certain emotional attachment to have lust, so the pendulum swings both ways. It is silly to get into hormones and neurons and attachments in the brain for all of that crap doesn't matter. Just accept that you can have that type of lust without love. It is not abnormal. Every female will give you their own evaluation and opinion on such a phenomenon. Their viewpoint will be interesting and educational. From an old guy's point of view just remember it's normal

    Why can't you get him in bed?

    Guys are generally more willing to lower their standards on attraction if they are being offered no strings attached sex. So even if he is physically out of your league there is still a decent chance he would have sex with you if you offered.

    • You must have over read it, but I said we've been sleeping together haha And the sex is amazing, and he's very attracted to me as well. What baffles me though is how despite all that sexual chemistry we have no emotional connection

    • lol, I guess I missed that part :D Some people are just better at separating sex and emotions. Also there are probably aspects of his personality that prevent you from feeling anything from him. It kinda sucks tho because your best sex is with him but then when you get a guy you do have an emotional connection with you might have good sex but it probably won't be as amazing as it is with this guy.

    • Which by the way is a contradiction to the question, " is sex better with someone you love?" I have seen that question on this website and I have always responded not necessarily and even sometimes a plain flat-out no. And people of looked at me or reply to me like I am some kind of idiot. Or caveman. And I stick by my guns. The wildest craziest sex I have had in my entire life just so happens not to have been with someone I love. Taking a shower and a girl sorority house, lifting her up her legs wrapped around me... Well I'll stop right there you are all too young to hear my story lol

  • That is totally normal. I am sexually attracted to my best vriend (she is a girl aswell) but could never imagine having any sort of romantic relationship. Just like with some people you love them but aren't sexually attracted to them the other way works aswell.

  • The only reason you're surprised by this is become women have the stereotype of not being sexually attracted to men but only wanting a relationship. I've found this to be mostly false. You just have the negative backlash when you're honest.
