I’ve been accused of it, but unjustly. When I first started college I fell hard for a fellow student who immigrated here from Ghana. She was genuinely happy, in a way that Americans just can’t seem to manage. It was humiliating and degrading, and provided a small glimpse into the lived experience of other people that I’d never been exposed to before as a sheltered 18 year old. We had a long chat about that which only made us determined to be seen out and about more.

Well I've certainly never seen it where I live until recently. I have not seen it online until recently either and I've been on the internet since it started.
