HELP: MY STRICT PARENTS FOUND MY VIBRATOR IN THEIR BED AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FACE THEM?

So long story short, I couldn’t sleep in my own room as my pets were taking up room and my partner was snoring. Dumbest idea I know but I then went to my parents room later that night (they both work night shifts) and brought my vibrator along with me to help me relax.

Fast forward to the following night, my dad found my vibrator on his side of the bed tucked under the blankets, and handed it to my mum to pass to me. He was shocked and asked my mum why it was there. My mum came out and asked me if it’s mine and proceeded to hand it to me in awkward silence.

I come from strict conservative parents and we never talk about boys or sex. I’m super anxious and embarrassed about what happened and importantly, what they must think of me now especially considering my used sex toy was found IN THEIR ROOM to make matters worse!!

I’ve always been conservative and sensible around them and I think they’re genuinely shocked and disgusted by my actions. Do you think they see me in a different light? How can I ever face them again or explain why I masturbated in their room?

Any help would be appreciated as at this stage I don’t know how to address the situation or whether I should just pretend nothing happened. I just wanna hide in my room and never see them again…

  • Wait wait wait wait. Your parents are strictly conservative and never talk about boys or sex. Yet you write that in your bed is your partner. So, presumably you had sex with them but then after sex you couldn't sleep with your partner and the pets in the bed you went to your parents bed to masturbate using your vibrator?

Do you realize how ridiculous this story sounds?

But, I'm in a good mood today. The coffee is hot and fresh. I'll humor you with an answer. That answer, seriously, is do nothing. First, you can't change what happened. Second, if you're telling the truth about your age in the profile, you're an adult. You have sexual needs and you were meeting them. Third, if you do nothing, it's on your parents to say something. Fourth, nothing needs to be addressed. Just live your life. If your parents bring it up, then you address it by apologizing for masturbating in their bed and acknowledging that that was disrespectful and that's it. Otherwise leave it alone and it'll blow over.

    • Thanks for your answer. Yes, my boyfriend stays over here and there and parents are familiar with him. We sleep on two barely joined king single beds so my parents don’t think much of it and think that we will wait until marriage to have sex as we are not actively sharing a queen bed. I’m 24.

    • @snowedin I was thinking the exact same thing. Boyfriend sleeping over ✅ 24-year old owning toys simulating sex 🚫

    • @Mangospacho... I literally don't get it.

  • I'm laughing. Not at you. I'm laughing at myself.

I once left a used condom on my parents nightstand. My mom was the one to find it. Talk about awkward to have when you're 16.

I'm sitting in my room and my mom comes down the stairs. Looks me directly in the eyes and asks me why there is a used condom on her nightstand.

I froze like a dear in headlights.

It took me a minute to process what was happening and then recruiting all of my mental facilities... guess what I come up with...

    "your bed is bigger".

That's how my mom found out I was sexual active. It's a good memory. It makes me laugh when I think about it now.

It's a coming of age tradition between parents and children.

That, OH SHIHT moment. Cherish it.

    • Great to hear it hahah! But my parents are strict and very conservative so I don’t think they’ll take that in very well..

    • You give your parents less credit than they deserve. They allow you to have your boyfriend sleep over when they're at work. They understand you better then you understand them.

  • You’re an adult. You’re a human. You’re not dead. Tell them to get over it.

  • Boyfriend is in your bed for sex but you're worried about a vibrator?

    • ^^^^^^^ This!

    • Hahaha that’s a good question but we’re actually sharing two king single beds barely conjoined so my parents don’t think much of that. Should’ve been more clear at the start hahaha

    • @SnowedIn @mangospacho This whole story is phony - no sex because the beds are large and hardly touching? Niagara Falls won't stop 2 people who want to have sex.

  • You are an adult woman. There is nothing wrong with owning these things. The chances are you will find that your Mom has some too. It is not out of the ordinary to own sex toys. If she does not say anything to you then I wouldn’t worry about it. Just move on. She is clearly cool with it. If she does then you can politely explain to her that those are your private things that you don’t have any interest in discussing with her

    • Thanks for the re assurance. But my vibrator was found by my dad on his side of the bed. So my issue more so is explaining why it was there..

    • Did anyone asked for explaination? Hopefully not. So just move on rather than explaining and making it more complicated

  • As an adult you get over it. It happened to me with condoms.

  • WE ALL have stories like this.
... and that includes your parents.

    Just ignore it; they will.
What's most important to know is that your parents will love you no matter what and this, believe me, this is nothing.

    • Thank you! But it’s just awkward now, I don’t want them to view me differently.

    • Honey, in 1989, I was 26 years old and my mom just turned 46. I was visiting home with my LDR girlfriend. During some private time, we were doing it in my childhood bedroom when my mother walks in. I yelled out "MA!" and she said "Sorry" and closed the door. You think it was awkward for me? Not nearly as much as it was for my uptight conservative steel magnolia Southern girlfriend. But, I guess it's just fair... Around 1966 when I would have been 3, my bedroom then was right next to my parents' bedroom. I often liked to climb into their bed and sleep between them. So, one night, I left my room and opened the door to their bedroom. They were doing it and told me to get out which I did going back to my bedroom. In both cases, nobody said anything.

  • Tell them the truth.

  • @PrettyPriya POV didn't happen

    • No, this did not happen. Nice fantasy but wrong site. There is another site made for this made up stuff.

  • How do you know they found it?

  • Ask your dad to come to your room for a long talk and explain to him why you need it.. see if he can give you a suitable replacement.

  • Lmao. So not only do you disrespect them by bringing a male person into their home to fuck their daughter while they're out working their butts off to put a roof over their child's head and take care of her, you then have the audacity to go over into THEIR room and lay on THEIR bed and diddle yourself.

You need to reevaluate your life.

  • They probably won’t ask about it. Act like nothing happened.

  • Well, you’re 24 and still have the toy they found, right? Technically speaking, you could just live in your room without ever seeing your parents.

  • All you have to do is blame it on your Mom and you will be fine

  • how did it get there?

  • I in no way, shape or form come up with another angle than has already been mentioned!
As they say. Let sleeping dogs lie and act normal until your parents bring it up.
    Also. Time to move out!

  • They won't face u
If they did just tell them was lost
And u are sorry for them and it won't happen again

    • But i wanna know where they found it? I mean if on bed it will make that harder

    • Under the blankets near the pillow on my dads side of the bed. It’s really awkward now and I’m not sure what to do..

    • Ohhhh its not easy way tbh

  • Why the fuck was ir vibrator in there bed? Just blame it on your dad

  • Everyone Masturbates, Not A Huge Deal… If They Want To Know Why You Did It In Their Bed, Explain

  • tell them if they didn't have sex you wouldn't be there and if their parents didn't fuck they wouldn't be there either
