Help!! Sexted with a minore am I being scammed or in real legal trouble?

PLEASE READ ALL.. I messaged this girl on a dating site profile said 18. I opened with hi what are you doing? She said nothing just in bed horny. I asked for her # I texted her hey then she asked for pics I said you first. She sent me a nude then I sent 1 back and she started talking dirty to me. It ended their then the next day her dad calls me telling me she's a minore. Saying he's thinking to take it to the police. I said I had no idea she was then he said would you be willing to work something out. I said like what he said I'm gonna talk to my wife then call you back. I have a feeling they're going to ask for money or threaten to call the police. What should I do? I feel like this was entrapment how was I supposed to know she was a minore! Im only 20 years old could I actually catch a sex offender charge for an honest mistake?

  • Your being scammed, if they were serious the police would have been notified already. The fact that the so called dad, did not tell you her age is also a clue this is something shady.

When will you dumb bunnies stop sending nude pics, to people you just met on some site.

The thing is, you can also be in legal trouble for accepting a pic of a minor, as well as for sending a pic to the minor. But you should be good, as you answered an ad that stated her age as being. I hope you were smart enough to make a copy of her ad, before it is or was removed.

    • I did

  • Don't reply to anything further that they send you. If you are telling the truth then you had no reason to suspect her age was under 18 because you had evidence that she was 18 and she didn't contradict that at any point. This is just a scam. They will probably threaten to post your nude photo to various places or people, maybe even your contacts. Don't reply. If you give in to blackmail it will never stop. If you didn't show your face in the photo that you sent then you can always deny it was you, even if they do send it to your contacts.

    • Should I block their #

    • Yea my face wasn't in the nude just my body

  • Scam. Tell him you would like him to bring his daughter to the police station. That you have downloaded copies of the web pages and chats and that you are sure the police will straighten out the situation.

    • You aren’t in legal jeopardy. She claimed she was 18. You don’t even know this person actually exists. But go and report her for being under age to the site anyway.

    • Ok thanks i will i took screen shots of her page in case she delete it.

    • Wait until he makes the offer, whatever it is. Have him send you an email. Try to get it from him in writing. Try to make arrangements to meet him to make whatever exchange he demands. Then go to the police or report him to the fbi. There’s a page somewhere that you can report this kind of stuff. Odds are he lives nowhere near you. He will insist on gift cards or something that has cash value but doesn’t require identity. And won’t give you any personal info.

  • Yeah right, like any concerned parent would be looking to "work something out."

    • Thats what i was thinking like work it out how. The only thing I could think about is black mail asking for money

  • Don't bother bro, 99% on dating sites are bots or catfishing, even if not, who cares, go mgtow, wake up from the matrix brother...

  • Scammed.
Even if he went to the police you did nothing wrong, she mislead you about her age. So screenshot everything. Her profile, the messages, all of it.

  • This is a scam. Cease all contact and block the #.
Screenshot her profile and all of your text conversation just to be on the safe side. You had no way of suspecting the girl was under age and when you found out (which I'm sure this is a scam, but this is all just cya anyways) you had no further contact. From a legal stand point you are fine. No DA would prosecute that.

    • Yea I blocked his # and took screen shoots for proof in case of the small chance it is real. Regardless she never disclosed to me she was 15 I had no way of knowing she was a minor. The website makes you sign an agreement that your 18+ so if anything I think she would get in more trouble

  • Scammed. Just delete the texts, shut up, don't answer the phone.

Moreover, she posed as legal age under false pretenses. If the police did this, it would be "Entrapment".

  • Complete scam. Just take screenshots of everything than block all communication with the person. Nothing will happen to you.
