The only thing I can think of is there is an extra risk of bodily harm with prostitution. You could be robbed, murdered or contract an STD.

There is no difference. If you record prostitution and sell it, it magically becomes legal pornography.

Theoretically the porn actors and actresses aren't paid to have sex, they're paid to play roles in a film. yeah.
Beyond that, why is prostitution illegal? Probably two main reasons: - concerns about victim trafficking. this is a concern with porn as well, but not as big, it's easier to track and review what's happening given the whole point is to produce and publicize 'evidence'. - women don't want prostitutes around for their husbands to have sex with. Women are less concerned their husbands will secretly star in a porn movie.
