How can women tell they've been sexually assaulted while asleep?

TV shows and books always say women feel like they've been touched while asleep. How exactly?

I would imagine that if you have been sexually assaulted while sleeping, then you would somehow feel it when you wake up, just like you feel a bruise when someone hit you.

It all depends also how you were sexually assaulted. If it was a forceful vaginal penetration, I could also assume that the victim would feel it afterwards. Furthermore, if a male ejaculation occurred, then the stains and sperm would be revealing the sexual assault.

In that case, there is only one option for the victim and that is to press charge for rape and possibly a number of other charges against the offender.

For example, she fell asleep having underwear on. When she woke up, they were on her ankles.
You can usually feel when something is off, if you’ve been touched in your sleep, or if someone has had sex with you…

I just thought it was strange thats all I didn't want it to be an instruction manual as you put it and to be honest I don't like people all that well because of the bullshit that they say nonstop. People are never straight forward all ways trying to say one thing and mean another. I just wanted an answer because it seems stupid that I ask a serious question and catch shit about it. I've never forced any women and never would I just had a friend tell me a guy raped her friend at a party and just wanted to know how they knew. I best the shit out of him but I still was curious. It wasn't that I didn't believe her but to a male it's not really something I could understand. And everyone who keeps saying it's a creepy thing I'm not exactly normal anyway between foster care and emotional and sexual abuse I don't connect with people well. So im Sorry if my question came as kinda off but I dont socialize very well and word that seem fine to me may come off as not normal or mean to others so again sorry

I mean, GAG already deleted questions for much less than this one and it should not even consider giving benefits -- even if the asker is just curious, any psycho can read the answers. One of the girls wrote: "if the girl wakes up with the underwear around her ankles" (any criminal would think: "okay, I'll put the underwear back before leaving!") Gag should follow its guidelines.
